Did the same playstyle as you Dusty Boy. That precision/DMR style sniper rifle without the scope is the most versatile gun in the game. Headshots are easy to land and they usually are one-shot kills

Dan Culver

Is it just me or does Jimmy sound like mordecai from regular show

Dustin Furman

It was his computer. Fixed after he swapped it out.

Do you like fish sticks?

Same annoying purchase police used to say 'why buy a portal when you can remote play on your phone.' bro, have you felt the difference between them? I'd choose the portal over my phone any day

Someone tell Jimmy that the audio design is best in class in Marathon. Chains overhead, different materials underfoot, environmental cues, proximity chat. You can really tell they put a lot into it for ppl who listen closely

Spike Sméagol

One of the biggest pluses for me in Marathon was that objectives that you make progress on carry over even if you die. You can work on an objective, make progress, and then go wild if you want or exfil. It makes it like a roguelite because you carry your objective progress even if you die and lose your gear

Matthew Cooper

Purchase police are the fucking worst. Telling other people how to spend their money or getting upset when they spend it in a way you wouldn't is total loser behavior. Mind your own business and stop trying to control people.

Solid Skink

Lotta tech head jargon. No clue what half of this conversation was even about.

They Now Call Me UNC.

Tell me about it! Ppl always got something to say when I spend it all on black jack and hookers. Mind ya damn business!

Antonio Rodriguez

I agree. I couldn't stop playing because the objective progression system kept me in it even after some disappointing deaths.

"you live by the ocean" killed me Jimmy. Happy Resident Evil week! Not quite at the end but I think falls a bit lower on my list of REs: RE4>RE7>RE2>RE3>RE8>RE9>RE5>spin off games (revelations/outbreak)>RE6 (never finished). I just prefer the caste/village setting to the city

The Incredible Shulk

I am loving Resident Evil. According to a long play, i have about 2 hours left. Super fun. The story is actually awesome. The graphics are top tier (outside of Capcom's issue with their denoiser. If i had any complaints, it is Grace's annoying stuttering before every god damn thing she says. And I thought the mortar guys were pretty cheap in that one section (they seemed way too smart for zombies, especially since there is no way they could see me)

Requiem is an easy 9/10, it’s taken third spot over RE2 Remake and behind 7 & 4 Remake respectively. I’d honestly have taken a whole game just in the Care Centre, with it being more fleshed out, I was so fucking immersed for those 4 hours.

I fucking loved the server slam. 3 of my friends pre ordered during the weekend because of the play

Matthew Cooper

Just finished my first playthrough of Requiem. Awesome game. Not sure how I'd rank it yet compared to the rest of the series, in the top third somewhere though. Played on PS5 Pro, it looked and ran great. They need to more ways to tweak the visuals, like separate ray tracing from PSSR and unlocking the frame rate. Also would like an option to turn down or turn off the film grain, it's pretty heavy, heavier than I'd like.

I was critical of the Pokémon price point on the Punching Up post’s comments (not that I care one way or the other about people choosing to buy it regardless). Something Brad said in this ep made me rethink the part of the criticism about it not being included in NSO. If it were included, it would by default have the save state features and so allow people to cheese things like shiny hunting. That could then impact other games in the series, online play, and even in-person tournaments thanks to Pokémon Home integration. So that would make sense they would want to prevent that and is consistent with past actions they’ve taken. It would have been helpful if they had included that on their weird FAQ they put out instead of saying it was just to be “fun.”

Re on console they way god intended.Right way to go Dustin

Zachary

Not that this helps you but while playing on pc I immediately noticed the film grain and was confused that they didn’t offer a toggle in game to turn it off. Thankfully pc mods fixed it. So i recommend anyone on pc give that a look, much cleaner looking especially with path tracing.

The Marathon server grand slam was...ok. I'm gonna play Dk Bananza instead. I got live service game fatigue.

Lunar Tear

RE 9 was great. I'd rank it on the lower end of my Top 5 REs.

Jimmys mic is destroying my ears

Cole Phelps Sends Babies To Jail

Interesting Dustin wasn’t too hot on of the basement in resi 9, that’s some of my favourite level design in the whole game I think. On my second playthrough now and I love how it’s just one big tight puzzle. Also shoutout the music in the second half of the game where the sound effects almost sound like a remixed zombie groan. Chefs kiss

SlickMick

I love this trio so much. Honestly vote for this to be a perm squad

Jimmy just casually spoiling th ending of Cronos wasn’t cool. Not sure why that wasn’t edited, kinda sucks for those of us who hasn’t got around to playing it

Just give us a straight PS5 60fps port of Bloodborne
