Resident Evil Requiem Review Discussion and Spoilercast | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 506

It's me, Colin. Please welcome LSM EP Dustin Furman, Summon Sign host Brad Ellis, and LSM editor Lockmort to Sacred+ for a detailed conversation about Resident Evil Requiem, aka Resident Evil 9. The newest entrant in Capcom's quintessential survival horror series is experiencing the fastest sales velocity in its history, a remarkable feat for a 30-year old franchise. Indeed, it's obviously more relevant now than it has ever been. That's probably because the game itself is exceptional, a mix of true survival horror with more traditional action that melds the two 'styles' of Resident Evil for the first time ever. Join us as we get into every facet of the game, from its story and characters to its gameplay, atmosphere, graphics, sound design, and more. There's a lot to say!

Loved the game too, capcom keeps on rolling

Its hysterical Colin went into this having played what is clearly the "Bad Ending" and not the other. Cutscenes between the two are like 2 minutes vs 10 minutes and the final bossfight of the game.

2026-09-05 18:00 It’s not talked about enough that Eurpoean heat deaths per capita is roughly equal to US gun violence per capita. Just use fucking AC.

I’m down for Colin to take it away and rant to his hearts content on sacred, but it was a little much at times in this setting with such great guests with much I think was left unsaid. Even when asking them if they had any thoughts at the end he very quickly started talking again. Disregard if this was just editing but wanted to share

This approach to spoiler casts is great Colin/Dustin. Doing a part by part progression of the game and getting to discuss the major parts is a great way to discuss the full game - I’ve always wanted this development in your spoiler casts - excited for the more narratively sophisticated titles to be approached this way!

Damn, that's a wild ass fact lol
