We're in the midst of a promising month of releases on PlayStation 5, and our patience is finally about to be rewarded. For starters, Housemarque's first party third-person shooter Saros has gone gold. So, too, has Capcom's beleaguered (yet incredibly promising) Pragmata, which was first revealed in 2020 for a 2022 release. Starfield's and Hades II's PS5 debuts, Mouse: PI For Hire's launch, the Konami-published Darwin's Paradox, the undoubtedly addictive Vampire Crawlers, and much more have us asking: When are we supposed to find the time to play all of this? It's a good problem to have! Plus: Sony purchases British machine learning firm Cinemersive Labs, Neil Druckmann teases the future of The Last of Us, Stellar Blade developer Shift Up buys Shinji Mikami's new studio outright, Disney executives are apparently interested in acquiring Epic, MindsEye's bizarre drama gets even weirder, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! What's the status of Fairgames? Are there any Life Is Strange fans in the LSM crew? Should gaming be more accessible to the poor? Is it possible that the Artemis II astronauts will listen to this episode of the show while en route to the moon?

CarryOnMyWaywardJohn

I'm investing in the Chris Chan doc. Im at the liquid chris arc

Cloud

I think the reception for the wizard knock back is cause we're really waiting on the ff6 episode

StewDog

Is anyone else not seeing this in their podcast app of choice yet?

Christopher Gourley

Of all of the crazy things that Colin has said, not liking concert shirts with dates might be the craziest.

Daddy T

As a real Mick I can confirm we put ketchup (red sauce) on everything

Vladimir Grabbinmikov

Lol at that write in…Arc Raiders is the multiplayer game for Colin. It definitely ain’t Marathon.

Big titty drinker

Returnal is probably my game of the generation only other one in the argument for me is horizon forbidden west. Can’t wait for saros put 200+ hours into returnal with the tower mode.

Big titty drinker

Returnal has a unique quality in that it’s one of the rare single player games that is addictive to play after beating it

Devon!

Contest is a dope idea!

Jayce Tamulevich

Can confirm, teaching is roooooooough. I’m only 8 years in, but boy do I wonder sometimes.

Dikkbig Though

Never seen Colin look so handsome. That thumbnail is delicious

Gal Sharpton

I was thinking of Uncle magic the entire time you guys were talking about clowns. I remember Sam champion. I also remember Yolanda Vega, who would read the lotto numbers at night. Roscoe the bed bugs sniffing dog good times

Tyler Stafford

The Tool reference is dope. Great choice Colin. Danny Carey is the best drummer ever, imo.

JT

The Pnuema drum cam confirmed it. He was always top three but after that it’s number one no question.

Tyler Stafford

Facts. I feel like a get something new from that video every time I watch it. Also, Danny being so huge behind that kit is hilarious.

AllTooEasy_

The Chinese landlord was brought up on a show in January. I remember because I was at a wedding that weekend and killed time before listening to the show.

Jordan Hunter

What is the gran Turin rip off they are talking about at 3:10ish? Gran curismo?

VanB-Boy 4 life

I’d be shocked if Saros sells more than a million.

Supes

I think the devs confirmed it's a reference to Holden.

Walk Forward Cutscene

Mindseye is an embarrassment but it’s still better than Immortals of Aveum

Mama Micah

It’s spelled Gran Carismo :) -Micah

As someone in the finance and accounting world these AI conversations are so aggravating. The entertainment medium is light years behind the rest of the private sector. Having to listen to AI topics at work and now regularly on a podcast is quite annoying

Michael Thew

Between that and his hatred of singing the songs with the band and crowd. It’s like he just don't get it, Colin keeps it copacetic. And he learns to accept it, you know it's so pathetic

Michael Thew

Dang, almost forgot that. Idk though, maybe Dagster doesn’t have time.

Space travel is decadent bourgeois nonsense the planet and its nations are crumbling and the class divide is only growing further every year why should any normal person care about space travel

Cameron Sturre

Grand Charizzmo sounded like a dating sim or something

Wayde

We stopped going to space because there was no political reason to do so. We went to the moon to beat the Soviet Union. Now we're going to the moon to put a base on it to beat China. While initial costs are pretty exorbitant, the roi on the science advancements from space are about 3 to 1.

Wayde

Actually, the return on investment for the experiments that have been done in space are 3 dollars to every dollar that we spent. There's a ton of stuff that we use in our everyday life that were created because we went to space

Wayde

People act like when we went to the moon, we weren't literally in the middle of a bunch of different conflicts, including the cold war

ChaosZwei+5

Oh man I'm so glad the investors are getting their moneys worth. Let's be real the only reason space is trying to be explored and dwelled in is so billionaires have more means to exploit the lower class. The problems of earth need address before we try and conquer the stars

Walk Forward Cutscene

Yes, the 60s and 70s were such a fun time. So sick of historical illiterates who think every current event is unprecedented.

Nick

I think it’s pretty obvious what’s happening with MindsEye. The game was fueled off Leslie Benzies and his aura. The aura he HAD before. He obviously no longer has it. Leslie and everyone at that studio thought there was no way it could fail. They thought Leslie’s name and prestige would guarantee success. What we are seeing now is them still in the bargaining stage but regressing into denial again.

The biggest problem with going to Mars that nobody talks about is the radiation problem. Just listen to q Physicist or astro biologist. We can get people to mars and back, but they will more than likely get cancer guarnteed

Steve Gray

My god please tell me you know the song is not “Posting time” right? 🤣

Publix Chicken tender sub

Y’all need to check family auto Mart on YouTube. It was a late night auto dealer show back in the 90s in Florida. It was ridiculous, but great at the same time.

Eric

Anyone else remember Mark Gerhard as the CEO of Jagex?

Christopher Ricetopher

PSA to all Costco members: Costco has PS5 Pro available for $799 paired with an extra controller. This is pretty sweet if you’re looking at the Pro, especially with the price increase. Get it before it’s gone from Costco!

SIR_K_Daddy

Love the podcast name this week. Such a banger tool track

Evan Westendorf

The "cmon man" and "sorry, cant do it man" thing is getting really driven into the ground lately

Kevin Cooper

"From The Lord of the Rings..." I LOL'd 🤣

Giovanni D'Amico

Counterpoint: Often applicable and still gets a chuckle.

NeO JD

“Closing Time” is a chill track, although I listen to a cover of it and not the original. 😅 You guys def brought up the Ernie news. Never heard of Sam Champion or Uncle Majic before but I remember hearing Mr. G often.

The Big Bong

as often said: I love Dustins more neutral approach at topics. Combined with his brought knowledge is it always nice to hear him talk. unfortunetely (recently even more) 80% of the time only Colin (60%) and Chris (20%) are talking and rambling. mostly about the past. Like some boomers :D

DIS-Bee

Chris's thing about multiplayer being playing baseball and single player being watching a baseball movie is so good and so true.

Justin G

It’s wild as hell people still believe we landed on the moon lol. Like there is so much visible scientific proof now that we actually didn’t.

Nathan Barnard

These anti AI takes are boring and get no pushback on this show. I check out as if it was politics being discussed.

Ryan

Colin’s ‘old man yells at clouds’ energy is getting so high nowadays. Not about AI (fuck AI and everyone who likes it) but especially with the price/affordability of gaming. “Back in my day we didn’t have a free game like the Fortnites so of course gaming is more accessible.” “Oh 40 years ago the Atari cost $1000 therefore gaming is OF COURSE cheaper”
