It's finally time! Rockstar has revealed an in-depth look at Grand Theft Auto VI for the first time, with tons of gameplay, details, and more that so many tens of millions of fans have been hungry for. We discuss all we saw and what we loved and didn't, along with in-depth coverage of the hullabaloo surrounding the game's preview cycle and price. Colin even takes some time to educate the masses that GTAVI at $80 is nearly twice as affordable as GTA1 was at $50, based simply on average incomes and not at all adjusting for dreaded inflation (so next time someone tells you pay hasn't kept up with the increase in game pricing, now you know they're unapologetically lying). Other news this week includes fresh rumors of electronics tariffs in America, booming Helldivers 2 sales, a ton of Gamescom ONL fodder (including Witcher 3 Remastered, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Stage Tour, Exodus, Mega Man: Dual Overdrive, and more). Then: Listener inquiries! Is game development in danger of so-called "mode collapse"? How has MiHoYo managed to find so much success across so many high-caliber games? Would Sony ever explore re-releasing old PlayStation hardware? Will Chris and Dustin join Colin in the Fart Corner?

Thanks for taking time to do a GTA pick up.

Snoopy Bowl tonight! Good luck Jets, go Giants.

Anyone else expect Colin to call Dustin out for feeling under the weather after SIX chicken wings, some fries and a few beers? 😅

Zixten Larsson

Just like Chris, my attention was immediately drawn and fixated upon that white t-shirt and I even paused, went back to watch it fold and stretch +the whole lighting /shadows aspect of it. t's just something I haven't seen done on that level before. After hearing about the work that goes into cloth physics/animation it really makes me wonder about the tech/hours of work behind it.

SL

GTA6 feels, from this presentation at least, like several steps on the Rockstar design spectrum towards the RDR and GTA4 philosophy, and away from the over the top lunacy of GTA5. Yes, there are still the satirical elements, but everything feels a bit more character, story and mechanics centered. I’m a fan of this slightly more restrained, serious take from Rockstar. Besides, they have GTAOnline to deliver all the over-the top wackiness, chaos and more overtly juvenile elements of games like San Andreas or GTA5. Oh, and the combat looks like Rockstar applied a great mix of what they learned with Max Payne 3 and RDR2.

Frank G.

Omg that police chase in gta 6 got me the lighting and the physics were 🤩 amazing. Can't wait for this shit now. Capitalism for the win.

Turnstile reference in SS! Good stuff Chris

SL

I thought it was just ok, but the two things I was most excited for was the remaster of and dlc for an 11 year old game, and a Rainbow Six spinoff. I think if you really love the Hoyoverse and are super excited for FF7R3, then it was probably a great show.

Michael Rogers

Yea, I'm listening on Patreon right now because the shows often don't show up in my feed till hrs, sometimes even days later. But then if the podcast stops on Patreon for any reason, ggs I gotta just guess where I left off.

MetalhedX

Guess I'll be that one reasonable guy in the room. I'll admit that I may not have the $100 to throw at GTA 6 when the time comes but I'm also not butt hurt about the pricing. It has nothing to do with the supposed greediness of Rockstar. That's just life and that's OK. Will I be disappointed? Sure. Will I survive? Of course. I can always wait for it to go on sale. FWIW I'm that guy that bought GTA 5 10+ years after the fact when it $10 lol

Bisexual Lighting Rigger

I hear ya. Especially with the amount of games coming out over the next 3 months people have to make choices. I may still get GTA6 but Zero Company and Control 2 are happening for sure. Most of the other games I got no problem waiting for. Dawnwalker is also very tempting but you know that game will only get way way better after patches.

Alan

Thank god for time stamps this episode

Zack

2/3rds of zztop are still alive I'm pretty sure lol Edit: Nope, only Billy Gibbons is still alive

The opposition to AI data centers is completely reasonable, from both practical and ideological perspectives. Ideologically, Chris is correct, most people understand the juice isn't worth the squeeze. AI is riding a speculator bubble and has delivered almost nothing of real benefit to the average worker or consumer. To date, the biggest deliverables are generative slop and a lateral move from traditional search engines. The long term, stated best case scenario for AI from the people developing it, is the eradication of a significant number of jobs. Yay! The idea that people should be supportive or excited to bring noise, light, and air pollution along with spikes in electricity costs and massive water usage just to pursue their own economic obsolescence in the name of enriching the already-wealthy is lunacy. From a practical perspective, what few concessions or benefits that communities have received from the corporations building AI data centers has come exclusively as a result of communities voicing their opposition. A result of democracy working properly, in action. Corporations will always take as much as they can for the lowest costs they can. ANY level of energy efficiency or moves off local grids to on-site power, water use reduction, investment in local workforce has come as a result of people voicing opposition. Without it, AI centers would be bigger, louder, dirtier, draw more power and use more water, and be built entirely by the cheapest bidder (who invariably pay their employees the least). So the opposition is not crazy, it's the only thing getting people in these areas tangible concessions from people that would happily sewer their quality of life for an extra buck. Opposition should continue, especially as local and state governments are being cowed into outright moritoriums and bans on the data centers, because the concessions from corporations and benefits to the community will only grow as the community's leverage grows.

Quite an interesting title for this week Colin. Quite an interesting title.

They Now Call Me UNC.

How do people have horrible experiences with Gemini, meanwhile I have zero issues. I even fact check it with another source depending on the topic and it works fine. I’m not fucking asking it deep philosophical questions about the meaning of life. Is the AI talk becoming a little performative maybe?

Goominatti

I thibk where gta pricing conversation is lost is that the full edition for the game is $100. You're losing out in content with the $80. Also, that its a game key so you won't be seeing it more cheap used as a used copy won't exist. There are people who can't afford brand new like Dustin said he couldn't as a child, but he had used games. However, there won't be a used game for this that you could get down the line super cheap

Mitch Orobko

His point still stands. All his data was based on new games.

Ryan Douglas

I would pay double for a version of the pod with chris muted for the duration. Nothing he says is worthwhile, nothing he says is interesting, nothing he says is unique or thoughtful at all.

Addison117

So this week we have learned that Colin is a "cave explorer" and Micah is apparently a "dairy farmer"

Supes

Colin's digestive tract is famously an evil hellscape, I don't think he's going to throw any stones when it comes to tummy aches

Poopy Butt Stinky Pants

I remember when destiny and gta 5 came out and hearing that the game was the most expensive game ever made. I remember having specific conversations with people explaining the value of the game, of how i for a measly $60-$80 could own something that was the culmination of human intelligence. A peice of proprietary continent worth hundreds of millions of dollars all on a disc that i now was in possession of. It's having a billion dollars in ingenuity, culture a entertainment all for my consumption. Forget the fact that they mass produce it and distribute to others, if I were a billionaire and hired thousands of people to make me something for my entertainment and enjoyment and then I was the sole owner of that creation. Would creation be worth less if i gave people copies. As far as im concerned it's so fucking amazing that we as a civilization come together to make something so special and unique. We're living in an amazing time where that something can be mass produced and sold to the common person to be consumed and enjoyed. Billion dollars in the palm of your hand. We don't know how lucky we are and how good we have it.

ChaosZwei+5

Cannot overstate how good mortal shell 2 is if you are at all a fan of this genre this is an absolute must play it's got so many great and creative ideas and has so many cool things to stumble upon. Pc performance has been pretty good no crashes and a pretty stable 120fps. This one is special and stands head and shoulders above the rest of these types of games.

ChaosZwei+5

Damn bro did Chris fuck your wife

ChaosZwei+5

Saying games lack creativity now is just the biggest self report bc clearly you aren't seeking out interesting less than 1k reviewed games on steam. Go put in some effort and go find the next cool thing. If you are a fan of games we really are in the best era ever. You can just ignore big budget studio games it's fine you aren't missing anything.

Michael Thew

Last time I felt that blown away from a trailer was the space world 2000 Zelda demo or maybe a couple of the MGS 3 trailers. Very cool, can’t wait!!

Goominatti

His data was on old gta games. Im not saying inflation doesn't matter. Its a real thing. Im saying the equation of being able to get it down the line for cheaper used isn't the option. Personally from what I saw from the nerflix showcase yesterday it is worth $70. But im also kinda over the gta formula. Im more saying there are individuals who are below the averages he spoke about that being able to buy it used down the line would help them greatly. And gaming should be enjoyed by everyone. Used games allow that to be a thing. However, with Rockstar practice of the digital code this allows them to keep the price forever $80-$100 which they know people will buy once the online and shark cards start becoming a thing. We saw this with gta V where it was in the top 10 list for basically a decade.

Xemphanis

I’m prefacing this that I’m a Six Sigma Green Belt and analyst at a major corporation. I don’t have time to pull a bunch of data, but here are things that are rarely considered and I didn’t hear today when talking about game prices. Inflation is a bad metric because games are not produced or distributed the same over the course of their history. The format has changed almost every generation. In other mediums the cost of tapes, VHS, CDs, etc. went down over time. A digital music album is now cheaper than any other music format has been for decades. Comparing the cost of a cartridge for a niche audience in the late 80s or early 90s is not the same as a digital download. That would be like comparing a car with zero computing to a modern car. The gaming audience has grown significantly which means more people to sell to. A huge portion of the gaming audience pre digital was renting games. I would get a game for $1 for 2 days in the summer growing up. No one was spending $100 for a game in my house (or most of my friends for that matter). Yet people played a lot of games. Zero data on who is buying games. Especially important because of the shrinking middle class. It’s also why average/median numbers often don’t work for good analysis. You can easily find stories of industries making more money than ever by catering to people with more money in the current market. Median numbers also don’t account for outliers which often drive metrics up or down. As games have moved to digital the prices never went down so companies were just taking the extra revenue. It seems that this has plateaued which I believe is a factor for current gaming economics on the production side. If digital games had been cheaper than physical in the past, the cost increase probably wouldn’t feel as severe. Movie theaters (I worked at one for over 3 years) and concerts are also not a good metric. They are venues for a single viewing. Very different economic structure. You play games at home. You can still buy an album for $10 digitally and hear the music. This is not a declaration of what games should cost. I don’t know what the answer is to that, but it’s not the players’ responsibility to worry about a company’s pipeline. It’s also why a hundreds of millions of dollars movie is the same or similar price to a low budget film in any format. The movie studios had to figure it out. Also GTA VI isn’t an $80 game and we all know that. The real game is $100 disguised as an ultimate edition (I say this because previous deluxe and ultimate editions didn’t feel like they were missing content). This sets a precedent and I’m sure people are afraid of getting priced out of their hobbies. I make okay money and I’ve been getting priced out of some of my hobbies the last few years.

Addison117

Colin saying GTA V is too long is crazy when he spent 200 hours as a UPS delivery man.

Mr Worry

I use gemini every day as a tool. Recipes, search engine, game guides, I've even used it to help me wire up my subwoofer into my car using existing stereo. it does everything. I just think it's popular to hate on AI because alot of people are worried it will take their jobs, should of learned to work with your hands I say.

Mr Worry

I usually only buy a couple games a year full price. Crimson desert and now GTA6. People complaining about 80 should feel blessed they don't live in Canada where I get taxed 50 percent of my wages and on top of that our money is worth 70cents to the dollar.

trephiroth

This episode is one of the many reasons why I love last stand and Colin. He doesn’t bandwagon or virtue signal. Tells it like it is. Glad he responded to the NPCs on twitter. So sick of it and someone needs to introduce them to reality regarding game pricing and GTA 6.

WoodyBlock

Think your getting hung up on the wrong things fella. The point was that no matter how you “adjust” be it inflation or spending power. Games are LITERALLY cheaper now than ever. It’s an inarguable fact. As for your feelings on used. My guy I lived through it. 99% of the time a used game was $5 cheaper than new if it was a recent release. The only time you saw cheap used games was if they were old and back then most old games didn’t get reprints in any meaningful way. Now old games go on sale digitally at WAY lower prices than any retailer or eBay ever had ever, and it’s not even close. So even from that angle your argument is weak. You then talk about shark cards so you can’t compare GTA prices one to one. Iv played every rockstar game ever. Iv never once spent a penny on MTX because I only play the single player. If we are comparing apples to apples old gta games were only single player. The online is a new addition and completely optional. These arguments are always easy to poke holes because at the root of all of it is a FEELING of “damn another thing cost more today than it did yesterday”. You are not wrong to feel that way and no one is making the argument against that feeling. The argument is you’re mad at the wrong people. The games industry is insanely generous for its time and a complete luxury. Food, housing, healthcare, transportation and energy are a NEED and cost insane amounts more adjusted for inflation and spending power. You need to direct your anger at that. Not rockstar or the perceived cost of playing games in general.

Goominatti

No, I loved through it too. First console was a ps1 and n64 back in the 90s. I got used games at 15 - 20 bucks. Started my own loan mowing business in my neighborhood as a kid to raise money to buy my own games so I know the cost. Im saying while inflation is true and not a deniable fact, R* is making it so people who can't afford the game will not be able to get the game for years to come because of R* practice of making it a digital code so no used copies will exist on top of the fact that you can't borrow it to a friend Etc. This cuts out a lot of people who in the past would have access to gaming. This is why im saying their pricing sucks because it l3aves them being able to control the price forever. Especially once the shark card start to be bundled as they did with gta V. It will incentive them to keep the price the same in order to milk the whales and leave people who can't afford as much other resources to play the game at a price they can afford down the line. They is my big point, we see with how R* is handling the release of the game and showing of it that they are strivnot more for just self profit which leads me to believe that the oG release pricing will never drop down the line

BazzBlaster

All the "economic literacy" talk, but no mention of the most basic price indicator that everyone learns in Econ 101, Supply and Demand. The supply of any single new game today is infinite, and cannot be resold. In the larger market, there are millions of games with more being added every single day. Individual player demand is lower today because they have subscriptions, backlogs, and live service/large games that can be played forever. Work this out on the supply/demand chart and tell me where that should be moving the price of games.

The Simplest Jack

Colin, I agree with the fundamentals of your argument -- if marginal game price increases are intolerable, then perhaps participation in the medium overall is untenable. Furthermore, i actually agree that games have long-since been wayyyy to cheap relative to their value. People seem to demand more and more out of developers without budging on paying for that increase in quality. That said, your comparison of the cost per game relative to a person's individual annual salary doesn't capture why people feel squeezed. I think a better proportion would be to compare the cost of the game relative to the portion of annual income that would be leftover as discretionary after necessities are taken into account. So as the cost of essentials goes up, the relative proportion of disposable income in one's annual salary goes down, and thus the relative cost of GTA to the player may not actually be getting cheaper as you suggest. Lastly though, i find your point regarding Rockstar's earning potential really salient -- it's interesting they are scorned for having to spend more to potentially earn way less than they did before despite delivering a much higher quality product.

LastStandMedia

That's the job, my sweet baby boy. Don't even sweat it. -Colin

DeadMail

Colin, just wanted to put out during your financial analysis of worker pay comparable to GTA prices you use the median worker pay info yet around 1:12:30 you switch to average hourly wage for workers, yet the median worker hourly pay is roughly $8-10 lower than average hourly pay.

Jordan Falduto

colin is very self-deprecating to remain modest, but in reality, INT is unquestionably his highest stat. To be an excellent writer and creative is one laurel. to be able to speak on finance to make it approachable for the average person is another feat within itself. both hemispheres are working at capacity in that noggin.

Envydiel

No one has the time, money or patience to wade through 15,000 slop indie games every year to find the 23 good ones. That's why we play the stuff that's talked about on these types of shows.

WoodyBlock

Missing the forest from the trees my guy. Good luck 👍

Goominatti

Im looking at the forest while yall are staring at a single tree.

ChaosZwei+5

Indie games are largely dirt cheap so that's immediately a nonsense argument. If you aren't a loser you have lots of steam friends who are always checking out games to take recs from. You know what genres you like or don't like which narrows down searches. I think you're just lazy and are projecting. Best games I've ever played are from independent or smaller teams without fail. If you are someone who cares about games you seek interesting ones out that is the defining difference between a casual and hardcore gamer.

Chris Evans

lol and what do you suppose the demand for GTA 6 is?

Chris Evans

He did point that out, you’re mad at games when you should be mad about other things that’s the point

BazzBlaster

Really high. Even higher still if the full game was $70

Envydiel

So much juvenile energy.

Mark M

Chris did a great job pushing back on Colin's price discussion, which helped clarify his position. Colin is missing that this is an emotional argument, not a financial one. How much people value something is often heavily weighted by emotion, not raw economic comparison. So his 'blunt truth teller' shtick is not helping his case with anyone unconvinced.

Ryan

Idk if anyone REALLY cares if the boys are accepting codes lol I hope Dustin/chris rack up as many free games as they can from Sony

Ryan

Yeah but Colin saved up his money and spent it on a cartridge 30 years ago so that’s what we must base all comparison off of. Gen Z doesn’t work as hard as him just eat hot chip and lie!

Pan Ic

Why does Colin always take the anti-consumer side? The hubris and pettiness is unmatched.

Stanley Stoopish

Collins game pricing inflation argument is so frustrating. He's just arguing with himself. The argument has nothing to do with what games should or could be priced because of inflation. The lack of general funds and the publics perceived value of the games is all that matters. No one gives a fuck that games have been unaffected largely by inflation. We have less spending power and games are not worth more than $70 for most people. That's where it starts and that's where it stops. Stop wasting your time on nonsense that no one is arguing. You said it yourself with the books argument. It's clear that no one thinks books are worth more than $20. We've hit the cap. Inflation doesn't matter. Stop it. Just because $30 then is worth $60 now doesn't mean anything when I have half the amount of spending money than I did then.

Jason Rose

Adjusted for inflation is to gamers what per capita statistics are to the left. Just incomprehensible and their utter kryptonite in discussions for perspective.

Jason Rose

Colin did acknowledge this though, but the emotion wasn’t his original point. Again, those numbers are the facts and you don’t need to be convinced. Your ability to be offended or emotional ( no you ) isn’t really relevant to the point.

Jason Rose

And our dollar is toilet paper. We are now dollar for dollar with Australia.

Jason Rose

This is just an immensely ignorant comment. But of course, do you man.

Jason Rose

They won’t sell one less copy by raising the price 10 dollars. Not one.

DylanTyWinkie

Thank you for understanding the context of my question

we are all dogs locked in god's hot car

Shout out to Alan Wake 2. I've gotten the platinum for it 4 times on 4 profiles lol, it's just such an immaculate game. Definitely one of those that I wish I could erase from my memory and experience for the first time again

LastStandMedia

I don't know how you can listen to what I said and then be talking about inflation. You literally have MORE spending power in games than EVER, UNADJUSTED. -Colin

BazzBlaster

I'm one less copy. I was in at $70 on physical, but I'll wait for a sale on PC, it at all. I have no shortage of games to play.

TheWubbz

I think Colin spends a lot of time arguing with teenagers and young adults working minimum wage when it comes to the financial stuff. I can’t imagine any self respecting adult seeing GTA6, wanting it, and not just buying it

Stanley Stoopish

Colin, I agree with you that you have more spending power in games than ever. That's not the point. How can you read what I said and then be talking about spending power in games?

Stanley Stoopish

If you ask Colin right now If he'd rather games be inflation-adjusted and $100-150 each, he would say yes.

Ryan

The episode where Colin goes: -pro $100 games -pro trump tariffs -pro data centers all in a row 😭

Dion De Lesia

I laughed so loud when Colin, speaking about Lucia and her awesome ass, said “she’s gonna be a… big hit” 🤣

Shwoop

Colin makes his argument about what games “should” cost based on… previous pricing models and how games used to look / amount of content. What is the value of an argument that ignores 98% of the context around the gaming industry, media landscape, economic conditions, changing societal norms, and most importantly, the evolution of technology and its maturation in the 2020’s. This argument is completely arbitrary and ignores the number 1 rule around what something “should” cost. That being what the market is willing to pay for it, and nothing more

Owen S

I think the price elasticity of games is a much more interesting conversation than inflation. There can be lectures for days about how much something should cost based on inflation but it’s ultimately up to the consumer to determine what they’re willing to spend on a new game. And like it or not, the difference of $10-20 might be enough to shift a sure fire $60 buyer into someone that opts out of the game entirely. GTA VI is going to be totally fine at $80 or $100 but a lot of games are going to take the $80 jump and it will be a massive mistake for them because people won’t see it as worth it, no matter how many inflation adjusted data points you show them.

zepplinmike

On the tariffs, it’s a fine point to say essentially, these things would be great if they were done well and worked as intended but are bad because they were done incompetently. The problem is central economic planning (yes, including “protectionism”) is always done by some incompetent government person who has no idea what they’re doing and what unintended consequences their tinkering will have. It’s just rarely as sweeping, as completely pointless, and as public as it has been with the Trump tariffs.

Johnny Lamotte

I don’t mind the price but if Colin expects us to pay $80-$100 for any other game BUT gta that’s a huge task! These companies are dying because the games they are charging $70 for suck!!!!!! Idk how else to say this lol I have the money and can pay the $100 but I will never for the garbage Sony has been putting out.

I love the Habs

It’s funny that people bitch about games going up in price but at the same cry when studios/teams close or lament that there’s no creativity in the AA or AAA spaces. Like if you want tighter margins, then you gotta kind of accept that studios aren’t going to take risks. We’re well within our rights to push back against high prices, but we also gotta understand the implications of us pushing back…

Bisexual Lighting Rigger

It's fine if they are having an emotional response to prices but they are asking for a financial solution to it. Colin was just laying out that video games are uniquely affordable these days. To me it reads like people mad at the dollar menu at Mcdonalds for not being the 50 cent menu. At some point people need to learn financial responsibility. Way too many people are financing cars instead of buying used, paying a 90% mark up on door dash when they could buy food cheaper, go to the liquor store and have some friends over instead of buying 15$ beers at the bar. I make below middle class pay but I want for nothing because of strategic choices and investments and not blowing my money on frivolous shit. This is what sucks about modern day. We aren't allowed to get mad at peoples shitty choices. But we have to hear and understand their emotional issues with finances.

Austin Evans

It’s ok for companies to try to sell their games for more. Charge more for all I care, people just won’t buy it. GTA can and will get away with it, not every game is GTA or Mario kart with a giant fan base. Just don’t make a niche game like Saros and expect people to pay 70 bucks let alone more unless you want no one to play it.

Harry bhallzonu

It’s for sure not just Colin but the shimmer issue on AW2 does sound oddly Extra bad for him. I’ve got *so* many hours and it’s not nearly as bad as it sounds in my experience.

Subagels

Trump didn’t even swear on the bible for the oath of office. Y’all think he had any good intentions for the American people from the start?

Wayde

I have a master's in economics and it drives me nuts when they talk about things they don't fully understand.

SnakesBandana

Colin loves his lolbert boomernomics.

SnakesBandana

People with graduate degrees in economics helped get us here.

Wayde

Where is here?

SnakesBandana

It's the Lolbertarian boomer in him.

MediumSuspect

On the data centre issue. Most of the benefits Colin mentioned are short term. They do create a lot of job but only during the building and installation of the tech. I’ve seen multiple cases where these giant buildings are manned by 3 security guards and literally five workers. Short term gain for very big long term loss. Especially in the cases when they are built egregiously close to people house and give off constant noise and cause dirty water supplies for homes. A few YouTubers have made in depth videos where they visit these places and it feels like an early look at Blade Runner. Still a solid show and I will always value Last Stand having a mix of opinions rather just a bunch of people circle jerking and shilling corpo ads.

Harry

I think it’s also worth noting when comparing GTA playtime and overall value is that the single player aspect of the series is tiny now relative to online which is where the majority of its audience will be long-term. I also assume this is where the majority of dev time and resources will be. If GTA V is anything to go by, millions of players could be playing a fully dev supported GTA VI with new content for the next 15-20 years…

NeO JD

Micah can never act embarrassed again. 😄

Glen Yelenovic

Colin, you have to channel your inner Rex Ryan and go sweater vest

Walk Forward Cutscene

Lmao at Chris blaming data centers for his electric bill instead of Newsom’s energy policy.

lazer_josh

Lucia got a fuggin dump truck of a hiney

MISZCZOGRZMOT

I know he said he's talking only about the US, but gta 1 on pc was 139PLN here in Poland (google has no unified PS1 price for the game here, since it was mostly imported back then and it varied wildly, so I have to go with PC), and the STANDARD GTA VI on PS5 is 349PLN, so it's 250% of GTA1, here (ultimate 429 - 309%). No hate, just sayin'

Glen Yelenovic

They hated Colin because he spoke the truth

Stephen

If it is performance art (I agree it is), then why the fuck do you waste so much time on it?! Same with the sarcastic, “Where are the games?” No genuine person is saying that. I hate that Colin spends so much time addressing no one that listens.

KZ_Eikon

You do have spending power you don’t have to gta vi day one, hell you don’t have to buy any game day one, wait for a sale to a price that good to you. Yea you have to wait but that’s the sacrifice you have to make.

Jacob Lesperance

Colin should have Ed Zitron on to talk about data centers

Appalachian Pulp

The argument never covers the fact that we get sold broken games and micro transactions now versus then either.

Anthony Palerino

I love Remedy so much. Resonant is a day 1, purchase for me. Assuming I love it, I’m going to try and buy merch to support them further. These games should be huge! *note: I’ve never seen Twin Peaks and I love both Alan Wake games.

Yet

I’m sorry Colin I’ll come back when you get your license ❤️

Kevin Cooper

$250K is a house to some people... and probably a lot more than that depending on what part of the world you live in. It's not "nothing".

Gooch Gobbler

Claims to love the environment but then if the companies throw you $100 then you let them do what ever they want? Weak shit dude

Is this how I learn 6 wings is considered a lot?

I know I'm a couple of weeks late but that data centre inquiry was so one sided it's insane. I don't think people really consider the energy requirement and what it takes to transmit and distribute that energy nor the sheer volume of new data centres that are trying to open up. Not even going to mention who will own and operate them and their ethics haha.
