I don't have anything Nintendo-related to write in about. I just wanted to say, rest in peace, Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory. He will be greatly missed. I'll put "Dressed to Kill" on repeat and mourn the loss of a real one. Perhaps the Punchers could tell me their favorite New Found Glory song.

Hey Punching Up Crew, Recently I’ve been thinking about how Nintendo/Sakurai could approach the next Smash Bros game. I think most people agree that it’s unsustainable to keep increasing the scope each new entry. So I want to know what you think they could do to make a new Smash Bros entry enticing, while not just adding more and more to the existing content from previous games. Personally, what I would want is almost a soft reboot to the series. Instead of adding new characters to the game, I think it would be more interesting to take the existing characters and completely revamp them. Imagine Donkey Kong with a new art style and new move set inspired from Bananza, utilizing his transformations. I think bringing new art styles and move sets would bring a breathe of fresh air to the franchise. And we don’t need all the previous fighters. Maybe just 30 would be good, leaving room for the next entry on Switch 3. Thanks for all you do! Colin

Hey gang. Mandatory write in. As someone who eats more bananas in a week than Brad will probably eat in his entire life, I’ve never really had problems going to the bathroom. But with hearing Micah talk about the Squatty Potty so much, I figured let me at least try this since it’s relatively cheap. Micah, you are right. This thing is a one and done. Don’t know how to properly describe it but it drains you fully. You’re in and out of there faster than Brad playing that Sonic game he hated. Just had to give Micah her props. Well done lass. A tip of the hat to you.

As someone who recently secured a preorder for the Zelda Switch 2, I'm excited to dive in; I'll be playing catch-up in a way though, since I haven't had it since launch like you fine folks. I was wondering: do you have a quick "Switch 2 starter pack" of recommendations, or a short list of must-plays you've had experience with over the past year plus? Anything that stands out as far as Switch 1 games that have insane upgrades on Switch 2, which GameCube NSO gems we can't go without, etc? Looking forward to sinking my teeth in! Hey guys, Not to get into the Fanboy Wars or anything but, is it time to talk about how Nintendo might've actually "won" this generation by simply actually getting games out and just not constantly stepping on the proverbial rakes like Microsoft and Sony have over the last few years? Hey Punching Up crew. On last week’s episode you all mentioned the various Sonic animated shows. If anyone is a fan of Sonic Adventure 2, I highly recommend watching Sonic X. The show has problems (like the main character being an annoying 10 year old boy) but the last arc readapts the story of Sonic Adventure 2 in animation and it’s great. Also, Brad mentioned Sonic Boom probably being bad. It’s not great, but it’s actually pretty hilarious for a kids show. Netflix’s Sonic Prime has been the best iteration of Sonic and Friends in animated form with a multiverse spin to Sonic and friends. I highly recommend to those interested in the blue blur outside video games. Thanks and keep punching up.

Hey babes, How is everyone feeling about Fortune's Weave? As a Fire Emblem old-head, I'm really disappointed in how much bloat there is to this game. It's just endless running around to grind out relationships / renown. Even with a streamlined approach, I'm spending about an hour between the chapter battles, which is the reason why I play these games! I know you can skip the social stuff, but you need to do a lot of this nonsense to recruit characters, which is frustrating because the battles are great. Does this strategy game really need a fucking bird dating sim? I guess this franchise is not for me anymore. Micah, now that you've played the old ones, how does this rank? (Path of Radiance is the best) Thanks!
