I had to guess the word was 'lid' based on the meaning. I guessed right, so I'm not too bummed out.

Same; that was the only one I encountered (I probably played through 50 words or so) which was missing the keyword, though :)

loved the new video! I was chatting with my wife about it and she's a WWI scholar with a PhD in history. You touch colonialism several times in the video, but another aspect that is so fascinating about "rules" of language with regards to official government languages and bodies etc, is how it interacts with nationalism. In fact I once asked her if she had to break away from the standard period of 1914-1918 for WWI, what years would she instead use? her answer was to start it around 1881 because this is the first time we see nations on a vast scale begin to standardise language and enforce that standardisation resulting in a homogoneity of language and culture. And it is that enforcement of standard language upon which nationalism becomes recursive. but also - spelling bee website fun!

Heya folks! I've been having some bugs happen with solo mode on Firefox for Mobile. Sometimes the audio clips stutter and then fail to load the full audio, resulting in clues such as "Cladistitics a noun meaning aaaaaaaaaa"

Today was my first day playing/trying it. I feel a little gypted on the second easy word, there wasn’t discernible space between the word “a verb”
