So crazy you did this album! I was going to suggest it in September for the poll. This is Supertramp at their Pinnacle. Love all their albums, but this one is near and dear to me. Thanks for sharing your experience with this one. I loved it! Love you guys!

Thank you for this reaction. This was one of the albums that changed my life When I was a teenager.

Sometimes I think this is my favorite but it is SO hard between this, COTC, and BIA. I love the prog in this so much.

Kudos to Alexia for picking up on the Dreamer sample. It comes and goes very quickly! You'll be interested to know that the band started recording the album at Caribou Ranch, just outside of Denver, but the altitude made recording John Helliwell's saxes and woodwinds problematic so they completed the recording back in LA. The cover photo was taken at Caribou though. This was so much fun, I love this album. The production is superb and headphones bring out so many nuances and subtleties. I'm glad you can listen to this now for the rest of your lives!

GREAT album and reaction..."Give a Little Bit" got a ton of radio airplay, and deservedly so. I can still remember the promo ad for the tour they did behind this LP almost 50 years ago like it was yesterday--it featured the excerpt from "Fool's Overture": "I know...I know...I know..." So haunting!

I just know that track all too well so it was natural to pick it up! I knew that looked like CO - thanks for the trivia!! :)
