This was an amazing discovery, just like all of Steven Wilson's work, of course! If you love prog, you will love this!!

Thank you for being on this platform with us and giving us the opportunity to have a place to share this with you!

Love always,

Nick, Lex and Marley

Hey Nick & Lex, OMFG!! I didn't know that this album came out in 2000 and how Steven Wilson can get some funky on that the track Hate Song and that's one of my favorite tracks besides the epic last track on the disc!! Hey Lex, One of my birthday gifts that you can give me is that I want to please see you playing bass on your favorite prog & or a hard rock/metal track of your chosen within an year and I'm not asking for much, But I know that you could make it happen for me and thanks in advance!! Hope to hear from you soon!! Keep Rockin'!! - <3 <3

A little late getting to this. This is very enjoyable. The second song, if you erase the vocals it could pass as part of a movie score. Very nice getting it all within the context of an album. Most of this is new to me.

I also got the Pink Floyd reference when I heard it, and then you mentioned it. "Look mummy, there's an airplane up in the sky." Speaking of the Wall, have you seen the movie?

I've had this group on my list to dive into. I'm so happy with a full album post. After hearing these tracks I'm going in to explore. I believe this was their 6th album, so got some catching up to do. Man I hear many influences from my day in their work. Love this stuff!

So glad you're getting in to them... it's an awesome ride from what we've lived so far and can't wait to discover more! :)

Great! Check out the live version of Hatesong from Chicago.

I think that the other PT album that is closest in style to Lightbulb Sun is the Stupid Dream album. Definitely worth a try

Thorsten Spinger

I agree with Pavel...check it out!!! the complete concert is insane
