I had this on Laserdisc in the very early 80s and I can't count how many times I watched. What I liked about this version is that there were a number of cuts my disc didn't have. Friggin dream band (with Joni's boyfriend at the time on the drums), JonI's incredibly soulful singing and effortlessly great playing... Glad you're enjoying it! I'm typing this before you react to Jaco's solo, looking forward to that!

Thanks for this Nick and Alexia! I really like this performance and the tone of Pat's guitar. I don't know exactly why, (because I'm not a guitar player) but I've always liked the looks and the sound of a guitar with the giant f-holes in it. She must have been close to 40 in this, her voice still sounded so good.

Wow! I'm blown away at how good this is. Joni sure chose a great band to perform with. Pat, Lyle, Jaco, Michael all were amazing. I watched that Rick Beato video where he was talking about meeting Michael Brecker, it was pretty cool, I could listen to stories like that all day.

This is so wonderful, and I'm so old I have it on VHS! "Goodbye Porkpie Hat" is a Charles Mingus song she put lyrics to, and, along with "The Dry Cleaner From Des Moines" were on her Mingus album. "Why Do Fools Fall In Love?" is by Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers, who were in the movie footage wearing white sweaters with T's on them. There are songs from Court and Spark and The Hissing of Summer Lawns, as well as more from Hejira that you've yet to react to. I still hope you will devote whole album reactions to the first two. They both deserve it, as do you two!! It warms the cockles of my heart to see you interact with each other so lovingly! ❤️🎵❤️

What a voice! I Knew her from your passed reaction: in a song she mentions the Maple Leafs, so I Google Joni Mitchell: Canadian artist: she have to stop coming up with all those amazing talents!

Hi Alexia and Nick!!! I would love for you to react to, "Like a Stone" by Audioslave. You will absolutely LOVE it. I don't need/want a shout out. (I'm still BLOWN AWAY by the beautiful shout out and well wishes on your last RUSH video! Thank you, again!!!) Have a wonderful weekend!!! With love, Kelly 💜💫✌🏼🎵

Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Joan Baez, Carly Simon, Joan Armatrading, and the lovely Janis Ian. Man it was great in the 70's! Oh how could I forget Dolly Parton? You couldn't have just one favorite from this list. And each and everyone was better live. I should know I've seen them all in a live venue!
