Hey guys!

We know we haven't been the best with polls, but we're determined to incorporate them more. We figured this was as good a way as any!

Please decide for us which of the following full album reactions we should do this month. We'll decide on 4/9!

With love and appreciation,

Nick, Lex and Marley

The Lamb needs some Love!! Katy Lied from from this list though. Great Album.

Karn Evil 9 may just have to wait a bit longer...

Between the release of the first ELP album and Tarkus, Keith Emerson invested a lot of time in learning the capabilities of the moog synthesizer. That time investment gives Tarkus a more orchestral sound than the previous album.

Alright Mr. Nick and Lady Alexa, you are in for a great experience. ELP second album Tarkus is my favorite from these wonderful dudes. At the time ELP came out to the world, I was a young man heavily into the Unholy Trinity of Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin. Jon Lord was master of the Hammond organ, the Man's a legend RIP Jon. But Kieth knew how to manipulate that organ to do his bidding! Genius level stuff! And what he did for music with his use of the Moog Synthesizer, legendary! I purchased Tarkus in it's debut 1971. I bought 2 copies, because that album cover art belonged in a picture frame. Loved the art, an Armadillo Tank, heck yeah! Hadn't heard a note and was already hooked. Not gonna throw spoilers out there, this tells a wild and fantastic story. I think in the genre of prog, ELP had the best sophomore album, and in my time it was still 2 years before Brain Salad Surgery debut. I love the list you posted in the polls. You made my brain argue with myself...lol! I didn't vote for Rush, simply because ELP got to me first. Don't get me wrong Rush, brought there element that changed the norm. And I don't think I've ever seen a list that the Fab Four came in last...lol. Can't wait for the next poll. Keep challenging us, made me think and rethink my choice. Keep on keeping on good people, and stay true to your journey.

They would have to do the whole album Karn Evil 9 with it's 3 impressions...lol

Greybeard Music Man

Hearing that Moog come in on the outro of Lucky Man for the first time and on the last track of their debut album, I believe Kieth was teasing us and preparing us for what was to come

Great Scott

That's the idea -- KE9 (at 1.33 album sides) clocks in at just under 30 minutes total; BSS as a whole album contains 4 other songs as well on the other 2/3 side.
