Thank you for reacting to this. Very, very nice. Love it. Cat Stevens has been a musical and spiritual hero of mine for a very long time. Although he's known for having left music to obey a higher authority in Islam, he really lived life his own way. Who else, for crying out loud, can say that they left music superstardom to pursue a spiritual life of service? Who does that? Yusuf did that. After years of publishing beautiful songs themed around spiritual seeking, Yusuf stopped singing and actually pursued an authentic life of spiritual service. Think about that. You've got bands who sing about revolution and raging against the machine, for example, while they become multi-millionaires who never actually rage against the machine because it would wreck their cash machine. (No offense towards those guys, but they never actually DO the things they sing about.) Yusuf followed through and actually DID what he had been singing about for so long.

My wife loved Yusuf! She passed away 8 years ago of pancreatic cancer, and she wanted "Morning has Broken" at her funeral. We seen him twice live, and he is amazing in a live venue. A musical and lyrical genius! And an all around wonderful human being. It's all wonderful and loving memories whenever I hear Yusuf/Cat.
