This is sad and outrageous. ELP always hated BMG. Never supported the band much when most of the band was still alive but eager to cash in now. Then again, if you are not a NicknLex Patreon member, how much of a music fan are you anyways? Mark (MJ1)

Wonderful reaction to an epic song. Hopefully it can be unblocked soon. I think my cousin played this for me with the obligatory black light on with the get stoned poster glowing. I remember I had to save my money so I could go out and get it. Nice to hear it again with you no black light this time.

I watched this when you first posted it guys, but I was only too happy to watch it again. What a brilliant piece of music, what a band! Perhaps a full album reaction to 'Brain Salad Surgery' could be considered?

Gary Arnett

In 72 my parents actually enjoyed it. They were huge with the Russian classical composers, and they saw where a lot of this was similar.

Greybeard Music Man

I always have time for the greatness of ELP. Carl Palmer is another inspiration for this old drummer! Love these guys.

Pete Miller

Would love to see your reaction to Hoedown on this album! The entire album is a classic! The fact that it's just 3 guys is mind blowing, like with Rush.

When I first heard this album in 8th grade in the mid 70s, my older brothers were obsessed with this album and also Brain Salad Surgery...we all just were so appreciative of just how phenomenal the music and writing is, and how they are such virtuosos on their respective instruments, as all the best Prog Band members are! Emerson's keyboard and piano here are so beautiful and classically oriented...Nik picked up on his Chopin like playing. Palmer's drums are so inventive and compelling, as are Lake's vocals.

B Mac

Just love revisiting this.
