The English Beat Marathon requested by J.K!

Unfortunately this got blocked on YouTube so I am uploading it here for the time being. I am trying to dispute the block since other channels have these songs on their reaction channels. Lets hope they solve this problem quick. Thanks for all your love and support!

All the best

Ok, in my next marathon on YouTube, I wanted to have Mirror in the Bathroom, but since JK used it here, I went with Blister in the Sun… it should be up in a week or so…

Edit: What a treasure you've uncovered, Nick. My favorite from the Two Tone/Ska revival branch of New Wave. "Twist and Crawl" next time, please!

JK

Strange that it took so long for them to block it? It had around 2000 views before they noticed it, I guess. Thanks for placing it here!

What an excellent marathon J.K. I've definitely been enjoying your music as of late! Keep the great tracks coming my man!

Brian McCall

English Beat were a wonderful band. Very playful, clever songwriting and musicianship. As you noticed, Nick, there are elements of ska and The Police in their songs. Good stuff. Thank you.

Michael Colford

Save it for Later is such an amazing song. The drums, the guitar, the string arrangement, the sax... all so good.

Vince G

Never had much exposure to ska other than the Police but man it is so catchy. Love how the British music of this era incorporates the sax. Not to mention those bass lines Tasty!
