Hi to our Familia, Casa Nostra and Dan members!

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO! We're excited for the second month of the new full-album monthly poll option! As you may remember, we listened to our Dan members who each contributed a suggestion for this. We grabbed those that we're eager to get to and think you'd enjoy, and we added some options of our own, too!

As always, we want to thank each of you for being here and deciding to contribute a bit more to the channel by having voting power and the ability to put your two cents in!

Much love always,

Lex, Nick & Marley

Poll closes Saturday, May 12th at 11:11pm (MST)

Tough choice for me between Moody Blues and Pink Floyd, but I went with Pink Floyd because I don't recall you guys reacting to any songs from this album before.

NicknLex

You're right, we haven't ever heard any songs from this album!! This would be a complete first time reaction for two Floyd fans!! :D

Rod

Obscured By Clouds is perhaps different than what you might expect from Pink Floyd. The songs were used as the soundtrack for a French film "La Vallee" (The Valley). Some catchy tunes, and maybe one or two that don't do much for me, but overall, I'd say it's worth a listen, to experience more of PF's work.

Eric Meredith

Very cool options. this is difficult. Marillion would be fun!

JK

I just came ou of surgery, so I’m looking for something fun. bat Out of Hell for me. Produced by Todd Rundgren!

NicknLex

Get well soon J.K !!! I just posted your Song on YouTube!!!

Eagles Rule

Marillion's album was a fairly obscure gem. Whoever put that one up, nice job. Obscured by Clouds is a very good deep cut album. Their next one was Dark Side of the Moon. Moody Blues is great. Much more well known but classic.

Eric Thompson

Stay, from Obscured by Clouds, is such a beautiful song.

Calvin Boaz

I don't consider Marillion obscure. They have been around a long time. They are certainly more well known than Dream Theater.

Richard Dobson

Not everyone will agree perhaps, but while I love all the Moodies' magnificent seven albums, 'Days..' is a period piece really, very original using the orchestra to link the songs, but it's very much of it's time. Their next album 'In Search of the Lost Chord' is where they truly find their sound. I'm going to hold out for that and vote for Marillion's excellent Misplaced Childhood. Now I've written all that it seems DOFP will win anyway. That's fine, I love the Moody Blues.

NicknLex

I think we will do Marillion as the second album. Its tied with Van Morrison right now. Lets see!!

Greybeard Music Man

I was actually going to put in "In Search of the Last Chord" as a suggestion this month, but DOFP was already suggested. Maybe next month I'll suggest it. Total agreeance with you Richard about Moody's second album!

Richard Dobson

Thank you Greybeard! The Moodies' albums do need to be played in the correct sequence really, so starting with 'Days...' is no bad thing.
