Leon x F!Reader

Words: 1,629
Contains: Planning, Slight comfort.

You were silent for the whole 3 hours you were in the air, listening to the conversations of the other BSAA Agents sitting in the chopper with you. Chris would converse with his team, Leon speaking up every so often, but he was also mostly silent. You watched him every so often, he would hold his hand to the back of his head and wince when he would adjust himself. To be honest he was lucky he didn't break anything or even die from how hard he would have hit his head.
It made you think how he didn't loose his memories like you did, were you weak? No... He was just a hard head.

You arrive on land, in Erfurt, Germany. You had warmed up enough and you were checked quickly for hypothermia but there was no sign, good, you were still in business. Not that you would have let hypothermia stop you anyway, you didn't have time to be sick. Leon had the gash on his head cleaned and stitched up before you made your way to a meeting room, now with the BSAA helping you had to change plans slightly and let Chris know what it was in the first place.
As Leon relays the plan to Chris and his team you listen to the changes and make mental notes, figuratively scribbling things out and writing over them with the new changes.
You would look up to the both of them, Leon leaning against the table with a map of the city on it and marking sections you had been given the information about. Chris standing there, left arm across his chest and right elbow resting on his arm, fingers over his mouth as he nods and takes in the mission. Seeing him in all this gear was a much different Chris you had gotten to know over the passed 2 months.

"That's all we know so far, not very helpful, but at least it's something." Leon sighed standing back, his own arms crossing over his chest.

Chris nods and looks to his men before resting his gaze on you and Leon. "We'll get in contact with the army and head into the city to start taking out the infected. We don't need it spreading."

"(Y/N) and I will head out of town and see if we can find where these BOWs are located. Have a team ready to join us when we call." Leon requests as everyone stands up who were seated, the others standing leave the room first.

You stand there looking over the map as Chris watches you, a slight frown coming to his brow then it relaxes as he sighs. She would have to have gone back to work eventually, but he just felt this was too soon. Chris then leaves, following his squad as Leon followed behind Chris, stopping in the threshold of the door to see you were still standing there, fixated on the map. Even though you were looking at the map you seemed to be looking straight through it, your eyes distant in thought.
"You okay?" He asks catching your attention.

You lift your head being pulled from your thoughts, your eyes meeting his ice blue ones, they look at you with concern laced through them. Your own flick to the side as you think for a moment, straightening your posture, pulling your shoulders back. Leon could see you were going to ask him a question, and it was a serious one, your posture telling him everything.

"In the chinook. You and Chris looked guilty when I had said I felt like I Needed to come back to work." You watch as Leon deflates with a heavy sigh, leaning against the threshold of the room he drops his head thinking. His dirty blonde bangs falling in front of his eyes, obscuring them from your sight.
"We're alone now.. So tell me what you've been hiding." You demand, your tone had Leon lifting his head to look at you, he could tell you were angry with him and he sort of deserved it.

Pulling himself away from the threshold he looks down the hall both left and right before closing the door, looking in the room for any security cameras before walking over. "Sit.." He says pulling a chair out for you. His tone was soft, quiet, and almost sad.

Walking to the seat he had just pulled out, you sit down in it. Leon placing his hands on your shoulders giving them a slight squeeze before walking to lean against the table in front of you.
"It's your reason.."

"My reason? For being in this job?" You asked. Leon nods as he looks from you to the white board on the wall in front of him. "I thought I chose this job?"

"No." Leon shakes his head. "You are just like me, forced into the job. Forced to undergo gruelling training and missions of survival that nearly damn well killed us. I would never has chosen this life, especially not for you." Leon explains.

"Then... Why were we forced to? Were we blackmailed or something?" You ask as a joke, a small laugh leaving your mouth. Your face quickly drops though when Leon looks to you, his brows up in a saddened expression. "We were... weren't we?"

"Yes. Me with Sherry, a girl Claire had found when we got split up in Racoon City. They said they would exploit her safety. For you, it was your family. They faked your death and gave you a new alias, name, number, the whole works." He stops feeding you information, seeing you were trying to take it all in. You had wondered why you never thought about your family once, you weren't even sure if you had one because you couldn't find any trace of them. Pieces of the puzzle were starting to fall in place as to why there was so little information on the both of you at home.

"I.. Why would they threaten me with my family? What did they have to do with any of this?" You were starting to become emotional, very unprofessional of you, but Leon didn't seem to mind you showing them. This was very hard pill to try and swallow. You try your best to hide your tears, brushing them away before they would fall.

"With the work we do, we make enemies. With those enemies, if they wanted to get revenge would go for the thing you love most. Your family are safe if they aren't tied to you, the Government blackmailed you with tying them to your alias if you didn't work for them."
It made sense, you wanted to keep your family safe and not connected to you. You let the Government walk all over you, using you as their disposable bitch to get to the bottom of all this Virus and Parasite crap.

You stand up out of your seat, Leon keeping his gaze forward, closing his eyes as he listens to your footsteps expecting them to leave the room, you had a right to be angry with him for not telling you. He flinches and opens his eyes when he feels you lifting the arms crossed over his chest, wriggling your way under them. He wraps his arms around your back as you lean against him, wrapping your own arms around his back. You listen to the speeding up of his heart then hear it settle to a steady rhythm once again, feeling his cheek rest on the top of your head.

"At least we are saving the world." You mumble into his chest.

"Yeah..." Leon looks to the door seeing Chris standing there, his head lowered before he walks off. "Well, not that I don't want to hug you, we really should get back to the job." Leon said as he stands up from leaning against the table.

"Right. You driving or me?" You asked wiping your eyes and composing yourself, pulling your shirt down and adjusting your belts and straps on your waist and thighs. "On second, thought I'll drive." You say giving his arm a gentle jab with your fist as you open then walk out of the door.

"What? Why do you say that?" He asked following you down the hallway and out of the building.

"You just crashed a jet into the ocean!" You say with a teasing tone.

"Yeah, but I don't know how to fly a plane! I'm pretty good at driving... A bike." He pouted, come to think of it, almost everything he had driven on a mission either blows up, ends up on it's side or roof.
"Actually, yeah. It's probably best if you drive."

"Good.. Cause I've been in the car when you have driven.. You SUUUUCK!"

"Okay... I'm not that bad." He says looking over to you who was giving him this specific 'really?' look. "Fine, I am bad, but not the worst."

You smile with a victory as Chris comes up to you with some keys for one of the jeeps the army had provided. If they were keys to a bike he would have handed them to Leon.
"Take care, I have a group ready for when I get your call." He says looking at the both of you.

"You be careful too, Chris." You say giving him a nod. He returns your nod and lays a hand to Leon's shoulder, giving it a pat before he turns around and makes his way to the chinook waiting for him, taking to the sky.

Leon looks from the chinook to you, your gaze still in the sky before turning to lock eyes. "Let's go kick some BOW ass." Leon says turning to the jeeps.

"Let's.."
