The Gemini leader is kind of an asshole. Without blinking he was willing to kill his daughter as a preventative measure just in case Kai was freed, and came to merge with her. Your question is valid, why didn’t he do that to Kai to begin with? Was the prison world a bigger punishment and death was too good for him? It doesn’t make much sense, if Kai is such a threat, kill him and be done with it. This episode was great. I do love a good information dump episode lol

actually, bonnie isn’t magically tethered to the prison world, only kai is. so if bonnie were to die there, she would actually be dead. no respawning. the spell for the prison world was created for him, and only him.

I always thought the dad wanted to kill Jo because Kai's siphoning ability made him more powerful than the others and he knew he couldn't actually kill Kai. Being willing to kill one of your other kids is crazy, but maybe he thought it was better than Kai becoming stronger and more easily killing all of them if he escaped.
