NYC Workshop 5/16 tix now on sale for Patrons (Patreon)

Aloha Patrons!

The photo above from last September's NYC Ukulele Workshop captures so much about why I love the ukulele.  This group of 40+ New Yorkers (well known for being a tough bunch) came together on a Thursday night in Greenwich Village, and sang and played with an electric energy that exceeded my expectations in every way.  Thank you to everyone who attended! <3

The NYC Workshop helped me see the power of bringing people together in real life, which is why I'm focused on touring this year - yes, I'm thrilled to play and sing and teach online through YouTube and Patreon, but there's no replacement for strumming alongside 50 of your closest new uke friends!  Big shoutout to our Patron Community Manager Jenny Selig and the NYC Uke Squad for keeping this energy going strong with their local jams.

So, I'm coming back for another workshop this Spring - and Patrons get the first opportunity to buy tickets before I announce them to the public. Seats are limited, so grab tix sooner than later!  Also, I'm hosting a Patron Meet & Greet before the event, please plan to join for that.

Wednesday, May 16 NYC Island Strum Workshop + Jam

Patron Meet & Greet 6 - 6:45pm, Island Strum Workshop 7 - 9 pm

Tickets and Info: http://bit.ly/nycworkshopuke

This workshop is Beginner-friendly, and if you attended last year, we'll build upon the basics we covered in that workshop.  At this workshop I will teach the most important ukulele strum, the Island Strum. When class starts, we'll spend 30 minutes refreshing basic chording and strumming technique, and then dive into the Island Strum Workshop. We'll wrap up jamming using the Island Strum together and end at 9pm.

Just a reminder that I have 2 shows the night before with my NYC band, see details here.  Hope you can make it out for that too!

Thanks as always for your support, and can't wait to jam with my NYC uke squad!
