Video production details

Thank you to the Patrons for supporting the production of this video - I'm so HAPPY with how everything in this video turned out.  Every month, videographer Robert Gomez Hernandez and I get to grow and expand in our visual collaboration, and that is my favorite part - the learning process.

The original Happy video featured awesome folks dancing through LA.  Robert and I definitely wanted to keep the dance vibe, and thought it would be cool to feature the street art of San Francisco.  We shot this video in Balmy Alley, a well-known street mural landmark in the San Francisco Mission.  I love the bits of real-life local activity in the background, and the tourists who watched while we were shooting gave us applause after each take. :)

Audio details

For this track, along with my lead vocals and ukulele, I also added background vocal tracks (4 in total).  Then my producer Chucky Kim added bass, shaker, cajon, and claps, and shined it up with audio production magic.  I think he did a brilliant job.
