Aloha Patrons!

A warm welcome to the many new Patrons who've just joined us. Please see the bottom of this post for tips on joining our private facebook group (best place to get support and ask questions) and other Patron communities.

Our February 2019 song poll winner is Bohemian Rhapsody Part 2!  I am hard at work on the chord chart for this epic song, and it is worthy challenge.  I'll be teaching this tomorrow at our monthly Live Lesson, Thursday 2/14 at 4:30PM Pacific Time (for $5+ Patrons).  If you'd like to change your pledge and join us live, click here for help on editing your pledge.  Live Lesson info will be posted separately tomorrow with the chord chart.

Before our Live Lesson tomorrow, you might like to review the Bohemian Rhapsody Part 1 Live Lesson which is available to all Patrons.  Part 2 will be made available to all Patrons early next month.

Thanks to everyone for voting and sharing your song suggestions in our February vote - voting is closed, but you can still comment with your song suggestions for next month.  And be sure to upvote other people's comments as well!

Look forward to seeing you online,

xo cynthia.

About the Song of the Month

For each of our monthly song vote winners, I teach a Live Lesson for $5+ Patrons and post a Patron-only chord chart for $3+ Patrons. I then create a Patron-supported Play-Along to share on YouTube. Here's a playlist of recent Patron-supported Play-Along videos. The Live Lesson will be available for $5+ Patrons for the first month, and all Patrons will get access at the beginning of the following month. Click here to find all available Live Lessons.

Caught in a landslide No escape from reality Open your eyes Look up to the skies and see I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy Because I'm easy come, easy go A little high, little low Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me Mama, just killed a man Put a gun against his head Pulled my trigger, now he's dead Mama, life had just begun But now I've gone and thrown it all away Mama, ooo Didn't mean to make you cry If I'm not back again this time tomorrow Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters Too late, my time has come Sends shivers down my spine Body's aching all the time Goodbye everybody - I've got to go Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth Mama, ooo - (anyway the wind blows) I don't want to die I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all I see a little silhouetto of a man Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo Figaro - magnifico But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me He's just a poor boy from a poor family Spare him his life from this monstrosity Easy come easy go - will you let me go Bismillah! No - we will not let you go - let him go Bismillah! We will not let you go - let him go Bismillah! We will not let you go - let me go Will not let you go - let me go (never) Never let you go - let me go Never let me go - ooo No, no, no, no, no, no, no - Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me for me for me So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye So you think you can love me and leave me to die Oh baby - can't do this to me baby Just gotta get out - just gotta get right outta here Ooh yeah, ooh yeah Nothing really matters Anyone can see Nothing really matters - nothing really matters to me Anyway the wind blows... Bohemian Rhapsody part two was not my choice either. Too much too soon for me. I’m still waiting for James Taylor’s ‘Fire and Rain’. It’ll happen. Which maybe too much for me too. lol! 🤠

Chipper Williams

James Taylor’s ‘Sweet Baby James’ would be awesome.

Cynthia- any thoughts on reverting to the way you used teach online... not live ? I work all day and can never watch live anyways... the other style you you used I think was far more effective for me ... I also like the production of those tutorials with the chord chart embedded in the production. Anyways, love what u do! So appreciate you bringing ukulele joy into my life and I will continue to learn no matter how you present just sharing my favorite.

Hi Lisa! Thanks for your feedback. The other style of full length tutorial is very demanding production-wise. When I can assemble a production team to help me, perhaps I can come back to doing these tutorials, but with my current touring and recording schedule, I'm able to deliver more for the Patrons by doing the live lessons. I deleted your comment above because I want to keep the feedback positive and constructive. I appreciate your support!
