How the Song of the Month works

Here's the TL;DR version of what happens with the Song of the Month:

1. All Patrons vote!  (in this post!  see the song options below!)

2. I create a Chord Chart ($3+ Patrons) and teach a Live Lesson ($5+ Patrons) for the winning song, and I'll record a Play-Along to release on YouTube.

3. All Patrons receive access to the recorded hour-long Live Lesson the following month.

THANK YOU PATRONS for directly supporting the creation of these higher production Play-Along videos!

Bohemian Rhapsody Part 1 Live Lesson is now available for all Patrons

Last month's Song of the Month was Bohemian Rhapsody Part 1, and it was awesome to arrange and teach, watch here: Bohemian Rhapsody Part 1 Live Lesson.  A lot of people were interested in Part 2, and really, I'm eager to finish it too, so I'm making it my choice for the month. :)  The remaining choices are taken from last month's suggested songs.

HOW TO VOTE

1. Click on the checkbox for as many of the song choices as you like below - yes, multiple votes are allowed. Please note - as soon as you tick the checkbox, the vote is counted. (you can look at the ticker on the right!  sometimes the ticking doesn't work on certain devices - in this case, try your laptop or desktop vs tablet or mobile)

2. Comment with ONE SONG that you’d want for next month's tutorial.  Next month's song choices are taken from your comments, so make your voice heard!  Please keep it to one song suggestion per person.

3. Upvote other people's song choices by clicking the heart on their comment. Upvotes are an easy way to double your voting power!  Your upvotes matter, so I encourage you to come back and look through your fellow Patrons' comments to upvote.

Thank you, and happy voting!

xo cynthia.

I love Someone to watch over me and I'd vote for something Hawaiian!! I took a break for a few months and I was looking at the Intermediate level but the Jan lesson for intermediate level was OVER MY HEAD!!! I love a challenge but I'd love input on when to look at your next level.

deb saine

Pink's "Beautiful Trauma"

Cynthia Lin

hi linda! i’d say to look at all the available intermediate tutorials on youtube - like here comes the sun, space oddity, build me up buttercup, fly me to the moon - and when those become easy, then join the intermediate level. ie when you run out of material online and want fresh material!

Linda Rosetti

Thanks for the great response!! Appreciate it.

Kuky

Solène Jouault

I just love so much Cynthia's version of Bei Mir Bist Du Schön. I really would like a tutorial for it... or.. y'know.. at least a chord chart ?

Jenny Selig

It's not ukulele, but have you heard the album "Holly Yarbrough Sings the Fred Rogers Songbook?" SO GORGEOUS!

Scott

Maybe "Longing to Belong" by Eddie Vedder? Written for the uke which is nice. Also can be played with basic chords and a simple island strum - for intermediate players, the strum pattern changes later in the song which would be really fun to learn

Barbara

Green Day Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).

Toni Jennings

Dancing with Myself - Billy Idol/ Civil Twilight does a nice acoustic version!

Maggie

Ohhh! I have done this song. Love it. CLs versions are always the best, but Uke Hunt has a never version with a picking riff in the middle. You can try it for now.
