Aloha Patrons!

What a whirlwind for our Class Play-Along video for Shallow - in the past 3 days, it's shot up to 260K+ views, and our local ABC7 news covered it in their broadcast tonight.  The outpouring of love for the video is just breathtaking - comments for all over the world, people in awe and moved to tears.  It speaks to the universal power of music and the reason why I believe we as humans can all come together.  I am so proud of my students. :)

To keep spreading the love, I'm happy to share this tutorial for the "Shallow" fingerpicking riff.

Watch here:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0ug4YZvIKo

I am using a new format for this tutorial, which I'm calling the 5-Minute Uke Lesson.  It allows me to prepare a more focused lesson that I think will be easier for my students to use for daily practice.  I'd love to hear your feedback about the structure.

Full Hour-long Lesson Access for Intermediate-level Patrons

I taught this song as part of my Winter Uke 6-Class series, and I'm sharing the full archived "Shallow" class lesson as a bonus for the $20+ Patrons.  If you're interested, you can always upgrade your pledge for one month to check out the materials available at that level, and then change your subscription tier back before month's end.

Chord Chart attached

The chord chart for "Shallow" is attached to this post for your convenience (click on the orange pdf link at the bottom to download), and also available at my Gumroad.

Enjoy the new tutorial!  Thank you for watching and sharing the class video - please like and comment and help us keep the momentum going.  What an amazing journey.

Or do you need more? Is there something else you're searching for? I'm falling In all the good times I find myself Longin' for change And in the bad times I fear myself Tell me something, boy Aren't you tired tryin' to fill that void? Or do you need more? Ain't it hard keeping it so hardcore? I'm falling In all the good times I find myself Longing for change And in the bad times I fear myself I'm off the deep end, watch as I dive in I'll never meet the ground Crash through the surface, where they can't hurt us We're far from the shallow now In the shallow, shallow In the shallow, shallow In the shallow, shallow We're far from the shallow now

Congratulations to you, Cynthia, and everyone in your class. It's a wonderful video and shows your talent as a teacher.

The 5-minute format is excellent! Sort of like tapas, or dim sum. The video with your class was filled with wonderful energy.

I’d like to buy your Ukelele but cannot find a link to purchase it. I’m from Australia can some one help me?

Krysia, the simplest way to explore your options is probably to call or contact the ukulele stores in your area and ask them if they carry Ohana, and that particular model. You can also check Ohana's website. However, I know some folks from Australia have also used MIm's Ukes in the US to order from.

Nice voice and a great lesson, like all your other lessons. I say that very many stars of show business would do well to see them, which would improve their vocal)))
