Aloha, friends and Patrons!

Some of you may already know this, as I've been sharing the news in my classes and livestreams - I am very excited to announce that I will be relocating to Honolulu this May.  My partner and I have both dreamed of living in Hawaii, and the stars have aligned to allow us to move this year.  And yes, Mochi and Chewie are coming too. 🐶🐯

For my Patrons, our online Live Jams and Live Lessons will remain on the same schedule (Thursdays at 4:30pm Pacific Time, and we can vote as a group to potentially shift to 5pm or 5:30pm).  For my online community, not much will change.  I'll probably have more tropical scenery for my videos. :)  For my Bay Area ukulele family, I plan to be back at least twice this year - for our SF Summer Uke Fest July 27-28, and for our Holiday Jam Dec 7.  I love the Bay Area and will certainly miss the community here that helped launch my ukulele journey.  For my worldwide fans, I'm planning on an Australia/NZ visit and China tour in Sept/Oct, a US East Coast tour in November, and a US West Coast tour in December.  UK/Europe, I'm hoping to make it over to you next year!

I hope local folks can join me for my last 2 shows in San Francisco before the big move.

You should try to come up to Canada in the winter sometime -- see something new, and help us warm up! ;)

Maricar

Yay. I hope I will be able to go to your show in Australia :)

Cynthia - OMG! This is beyond amazing news for all of us Hawaii fans! I've always wished I could attend the many events and classes that you typically hold in the SF area and I hope those type of events continue here in the 808! Very exciting news! I look forward to some jam sessions with the "aunties" like your last visit during the Kakaako show! Truly exciting news! Aloha!!

Will you be attending the Ukulele festival on Honolulu in July?

Pam

Maybe when I visit Hawaii again I will be able to attend a performance.

Hi Cynthia. I've just joined your Patron group after getting a ukulele for Christmas.

tony kendrick

Have you done a reggae rhythm teaching video, which I'd love to learn and is Stairway to heaven 1 and 3 available? Also, good luck with your home move

Mia Knerly-Hess

I wish you and yours every happiness!! I think it's great! The Mainland will miss you.

Nelleke Cooper

How wonderful you are moving to Hawaii. Can't wait to join you in a Hawaiian camp/jam or whatever you are able to do. You thought me everything I know on my little Ukulele and it's giving me great joy. Thank you for being an amazing teacher and a kind and wonderful person.

Hello Cynthia & Team Cynthia! I have looked at length but cannot find info on the SF Uke Festival in July. Can you send a link? Thank Uke :-)

Shelley Rubzow

Thanks Jenny, so does this mean there isn’t a weekend of workshops, just a concert/jam?

Cynthia Lin

hi shelley, there will be workshops and a concert on sunday. we'll post more information after Beatles Jam.

tony kendrick

Hi Cynthia. As I am from N Wales I won't be able to go to your San Francisco Farewell concerts nor see you in Australia. Maybe one day I'll get to Hawaii. Have I missed the 3rd part of Stairway to Heaven or do I need to wait until you post it still. Also do you have a tutorial on playing E or B shords as I find these chords so difficult to play. Thanks, Tony

Good luck in your move to Hawaii. I enjoy learning the ukulele from your YouTube videos. I live in the South Bay. Missed the opportunity to jam with you in person. Perhaps in Hawaii when I visit my family. Aloha!

Cynthia when you know the dates of your Aussie Tour can you let us know?? I assume you will be going to the East Coast?? I'm currently planning my travel between Australia and Europe and want to make sure I can get across Oz when your here!! Cheers!

tony kendrick

Hi Jenny. Thank you for your reply, I am a Patreon but I just pay 1$ a month so that could be why I can't access Stairway 3. Good luck with the tour and then the move to Hawaii. Tony

Carmel Adams

Hi Cynthia, sooo looking forward to your Australian trip. You MUST come to Queensland. We have great uke communities here (well, all over Australia for that matter, but I have to give a plug for my own State of course).

Dan

You will love Hawaii much like my partner and I do. We moved from Corona Heights in San Francisco 7 years ago and I occasionally return to my home of 15 years for some of the things I miss, Chinatown (dim sum) or haggling over fruit and vegetables in Cantonese ( I usually get the thumbs up and an occasional "gui lo" when my tonal qualities aren't great :-) Dolores Park and Tartine, Japantown.. but life here is beautiful. I'll be back in SF July 25-August 1 so I hope to see you at the Buena Vista Event!
