Aloha Patrons!

Welcome to our monthly vote!  Please note that voting closes Tuesday, June 11th at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

If you're new to Patreon, thanks for being here!  Please read thoroughly for instructions on how the whole voting process works. (Also, if you're new, join our secret facebook group!  Email patronhelp@cynthialin.com with your facebook email address and we'll add you - and see Community Notes at the bottom of this post for more ways to connect.)

How the Song of the Month works

Here's the TL;DR version of what happens with the Song of the Month:

1. All Patrons vote!  (in this post!  see the song options below!)

2. I create a Chord Chart ($3+ Patrons) and teach a Live Lesson ($5+ Patrons) for the winning song, and I'll record a Play-Along to release on YouTube.

3. All Patrons receive access to the recorded hour-long Live Lesson the following month.

THANK YOU PATRONS for directly supporting the creation of these higher production Play-Alongs!  Find all Play-Along posts here.

Song choices from your suggestions

This month, I'm sharing song choices that got a lot of love in the comments across my various channels in the past month.  Be sure to upvote your fellow Patrons' comments!  Adding links for songs I've already done so you can check them out.

HOW TO VOTE

1. Click on the check box for as many of the song choices as you like below- yes, multiple votes are allowed. Please note - as soon as you tick the checkbox, the vote is counted. (you can look at the ticker on the right!  Sometimes the ticking doesn't work on certain devices - in this case, try your laptop or desktop vs tablet or mobile)

2. Comment with ONE SONG that you’d want for next month's tutorial. I'll keep your suggestions in mind as new arrangements for the 100 Days Project.  Please keep it to one song suggestion per person.

3. Upvote other people's song choices by clicking the heart on their comment. Upvotes are an easy way to double your voting power!  Your upvotes matter, so I encourage you to come back and look through your fellow Patrons' comments to upvote.

Thank you, and happy voting!

I need to start picking a song. No I mean “Picking”. I don’t mean I’m picking a song.., well yes. I do mean I’m picking a song; I’m picking “Somebody That I Used To Know” but, I’m picking it for the “Picking”.

Christina Ciano

I don't see a tutorial for it on Cynthia's Song Index spread sheet. It makes appearances in a few jams though - which may have some tips and tricks. I don't know what level you pledge at, but you can view the patreon link and see if you have access to them. The song index link is in Cynthia's main post above the vote. It's listed as #3 in the 'Community Notes' section - click "CL SONG INDEX".

Christina Ciano

This post reminds me of, "how much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?"

I can't seem to find the third part to Stairway to heaven

Jenny Selig, Hi Jenny, Thanks for your response about Part 3 Stairway to Heaven. The reason I asked is there is another verse(s) in the original song that is not covered in Part 2. I recently viewed a you tube video of someone performing that last and rather heavy rock part of the song. Enjoying the chat. Thanks again!

lisa mahon

For future consideration a song by Leonard Cohen. Perhaps Bird on a Wire or/and Dance me to the end of love,

Jenny Selig

Hmm. What are the lyrics to the verse that is missing? The "And as we wind..." part? That's around minute 52 of the Parts 2/3 video.

Maree Smith

Dream Catch Me by Newton Faulkner. Gorgeous, perfect pop song with substance.

Jenny Selig

Love this idea. I could do a Leonard Cohen workshop for our squad, too, Lisa!
