Aloha, friends!
Last Tuesday we reached Day 50 -- the halfway point -- of this year’s #100 Days of Ukulele Songs project, which started on April 2nd! See my previous post for the background on #The100DayProject and my Ukulele Songs spin-off that led to my Billboard-charting album Ukulele Days.
Congratulations to all those who’ve been posting, whether you’ve been sharing songs daily or on another schedule. There are no “rules” to this challenge, and it’s been great to see how players have adapted it to their own interests and skill levels.
This week, I invited folks posting their 50th video to share 10-second clips with me, and I received 14 submissions I’d like to share with you. Shout out to these awesome ukulele players who made it to Day 50! You committed to the challenge of playing and recording a song everyday, and making the ukulele a part of your creative journey. Your dedication inspires me and others to follow their passion too!

Be sure to click through and leave a thumbs up and supportive comment for your fellow uke players!
Video features these folks (in order of appearance) - there are more folks participating in the project, and I look forward to featuring you in our Day 100 video! :)

It’s not too late to join 100 Days of Ukulele Songs, but even if you aren’t playing along or posting publicly, you can watch the videos of and encourage those who are. Find posts on Instagram (via the hashtag #100daysofukulelesongs), Facebook, and YouTube. On Facebook, you can join our new group “100 Days of Ukulele Songs,” which now has over 1400 members, approximately 2 to 3 dozen of whom are sharing videos regularly, to post and/or to view others’ posts, or to ask questions about the Project. At least another 25 to 30 people are still posting frequently on Instagram, and another 50+ have joined in on Instagram for at least one day! While you’re on Instagram, don’t forget to follow @CLukesquad, my new account featuring #100DaysofUkuleleSongs posts, participant reposts, and activities held by Cynthia Lin Uke Squads around the world.
Are you participating in this year’s project? Please share any thoughts you have about the experience in the comments below!
