How the 100 Day Project changed my life (Patreon)

Aloha, Patrons!
As a lifelong creator and believer in the artistic empowerment of all, I owe a lot to The 100 Day Project. I believe the world would be a better place if we all committed just 5 minutes a day to working on our own creative development - we would be mentally and physically healthier, learning mindfulness and discipline, nurturing skills for growth and dealing with the ups and downs that come with change, manifesting our dreams and passions in small, daily iterations.
My Patreon community is also very closely tied to The 100 Day Project. In 2015, the year that I did the first #100DaysofUkuleleSongs Project, I started my Patreon page as a way for folks to support my project. What began as a personal project in musical development and creative technology, would eventually become the foundation for my YouTube channel, my Patreon community, and my whole ukulele world - and would even grace me with the legacy of officially placing on the Billboard charts.
So grab some popcorn, and enjoy this story video about how the 100 Day Project changed my life, and why you might want to do the project too.

Join the 100 Days of Uke 2021
Beginning in 2018, I've invited my community to join me in sharing ukulele videos for 100 days. This year, to encourage more participation, I'm suggesting to focus on practicing for 5 minutes a day, and share a short clip (15 seconds, or as much as your want) of your practice. Perhaps you tackle one challenging song over 100 days, or one per week. You could focus on fingerpicking techniques, or your recording or video editing skills, or your vocal skills. This is your project - spend time identifying the specific skills you want to work on, and you can make a loose plan (or not). Post in our facebook group, or on your own Instagram with the hashtag #100daysuke2021. If you miss a day, pick up and keep going. And most importantly, connect with other folks who are doing the project to help keep you motivated. The community inspires me to keep coming back to this project year after year, and for that I am truly grateful!

Coming up
This week, I'll see the Intermediate Patrons on Thursday for our Live Jam, which will be an Intermediate Fingerpicking Bootcamp. And then on Saturday 1/30, Ukulenny and I are back with our monthly Community Livestream - we'll ease into the new year with Beginner-friendly jams. We're working on adding some fresh tunes, as well as playing Lenny&Cynthia classics like Brown-Eyed Girl and Island Style, and will share that packet soon. And I'll talk more about the 100 Day Project during the livestream. Hope to see you online, and look forward to jamming with you all!
