Aloha, Patrons!
It's Day 100 of our 100 Days of Ukulele Project 2022! 🎉 Congratulations to the hundreds of Patrons joined the Project this year! I'm so proud of everyone who participated in and supported this epic journey. Enjoy this special uke and cello collaboration for my Day 100 video.

Please take a moment to click through to YouTube, give it a thumbs up, and post a comment - especially for the awesome performance from Josh Nakazawa on the cello. 😊 Thank you!! Josh performs with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra, has won a Nā Hōkū Award with his quartet (Hawaiian equivalent of a Grammy), and accompanies many local performers including Jake Shimabukuro. You can follow him @manamusichawaii and https://manamusichawaii.com. You can even take cello lessons with him online.

I taught this song to the Patrons last year - thank you to the Patrons for supporting these monthly Live Lessons. All Patrons ($1+) can access the recording of the full lesson here: https://bit.ly/LingerUkeLesson. Download the chord chart for free via the pdf link at the bottom of the post. I'll work on getting CC chords up on the video so that you can use it to play along.
100 Days Project wrap-up - Follow Your Passion
I share this quote frequently, but it feels most true when you step back and look at the 100 Day Project: "If you want to go far, go together." This is actually my first year making it all the way through - it has taken me several years to figure out how to make it work (remember, the first year, I got so overwhelmed that I lost my voice!). Let it be known that this is not an easy project. Over the course of 100 Days, there will be ups and downs, which is why we need to lean on each other. We are all learning how to follow our passion, how to design a daily creative practice that's both manageable and rewarding, and how to carve our own paths of how we want to grow. I feel at once a sense of achievement and of relief. How about you, how are you feeling?
I am grateful for the many people who keep this project going. Our Patron Community Manager, Jenny Selig, aka Newukenewyork, serves as the Admin for the entire project, and she deserves a huge shoutout for her patience, compassion, and growth as a leader. Jenny manages a team of moderators and an unending stream of requests across facebook and instagram, all while posting and creating everyday. You're an example to us all. Thank you, Jenny!
Our facebook group has a volunteer team of dedicated moderators who watch over the group 24/7 (because we have folks participating from all time zones!) to keep the group a safe space for sharing, as well as several group experts that have created tutorials along the way for newbies. On both facebook and instagram, we have experienced players who show up every day and encourage the new players. We have folks who've offered their tech skills to create collaborations, and we have new players who inspire us with their fresh enthusiasm. And hundreds of participants went above and beyond to comment on hundreds (if not thousands!) of videos to energize this space of creativity, positivity, and growth. You all are the heart of this project. THANK YOU. ❤️
Over 100 days, we have seen into hundreds of journeys and learned that we are all doing our best to figure it out - and that we can give ourselves as much grace as we give others.
The journey is never really over, of course. You're welcome to post Day 101, or to take a well-deserved break. Who's ready for 2023???
all my aloha,
xo cynthia. 🌺
