Aloha, Patrons!

October is here, and that means we all get a chance to revisit Zombie Heart, which has inadvertently become a Halloween ukulele anthem. 🧟‍♀️ Be sure to check out and play along with the Zombie Heart Flash Mob featuring lots of Patrons!  We'll be sure to play Zombie Heart in our Beginner Jam next week, and Hungry Like the Wolf as well.  You might see some fun interpretations of Zombie Heart over on my 5@5 Live show in the next couple of weeks!    

A special welcome to all the New Patrons who've recently joined us!  Please introduce yourself in the comments: I'd love to hear how long you've been playing, what kind of uke you play, if you have a group to play with, what songs you've been working on, or anything else you'd like to share.

🦄 Video Walk-through for the CL Song Index - Our Community Manager Jenny gave us a guided tour of the Cynthia Lin Song Index, which is the best way to find all the available lessons for Patrons at each tier.  The Cynthia Lin Song Index is a super helpful resource, so please do check out the video to get more insight on how to get the most out of your Patreon subscription.  Thank you to our Community Managers for creating and organizing the Song Index!

🇬🇧 U3 UK/Europe Tour 2023!

Calling all UK/ Europe Patrons!  The Grand Northern Ukulele Festival is a highly acclaimed festival that featured Jake Shimabukuro and Taimane last year - and for 2023, they have announced my ukulele trio U3 as their first headlining act!  

We are super excited to perform at the festival, and we are also planning a UK and Europe tour around the date.  Are you planning to attend GNUF?  Drop a note in the comments below if you are interested or already have tickets.  Tickets are already half sold, so consider getting your tickets soon.  I believe several 100-Dayers have already secured tickets, so there will definitely be plenty of Patrons to meet up with at the fest. :)

Tour Help: If you are in a major city in the UK/Europe and would like to help us get to your city, please drop a note in the comments and let me know the city, and if you have access/connections to music venues.  We are specifically looking for help in Glasgow/Edinburgh and Paris, and we have London and Eastern Europe plans in the works.  Very excited!!  Will share more as the tour solidifies.

September 2022 Recap - News, Patron Events and new Videos:

• There were 4 live voice lessons in September ($30+ Patrons)
• Community Manager Jenny Selig gave a video demonstration on how to use the Cynthia Lin Song Index to find lessons and videos.  All Patrons ($1+) can now stream the replay here. What other topics or features on Patreon would you like us to cover?
• I released a new video - a jam with U3 on the popular "I'm Yours", then taught a breakdown of the riff for our Beginner Live Jam ($10+ Patrons).
• I posted a cover of "We'll Meet Again" as a special tribute to the Queen and shared the Live lesson with all Patrons.
• Uncle Allen returned for a second bonus hula lesson ($20+ Patrons).
• For the Intermediate Live Jam ($20+ Patrons), I taught a lesson on playing embellishments with my arrangement of "Both Sides Now", which was the topic of August's Live Lesson. Everyobe can see my new video of the song here.

I recommend all new Patrons check out our community WelcomeGuide/FAQ post.  Please be patient as you get familiar with the Patreon platform. I promise it will get easier to use if you take time to look around. If you have a question that the WelcomeGuide/FAQ post doesn't answer, please comment there to help us continue to update the FAQ.

To find a specific song or lesson, learn to use the updated Cynthia Lin Song Index.  Thank you to the Community Managers for creating and maintaining this helpful resource.

If you have more questions about Patreon, I encourage you to post your questions to one of our Community groups. Our community has tons of friendly folks who love sharing their uke experience. Our private Facebook group is particularly active, and we've streamlined the steps to join. Request to join right on the Facebook group page, and be sure to answer BOTH membership questions so Community Managers can verify your Patron status. Scroll to the Community Notes section at bottom of this post for more ways to join and post to our Community.

Join our private Facebook group: In the Facebook group, Patrons can share videos, advice, support, and encouragement!  Be sure to answer both membership questions so that Community Managers can verify your Patron status.
