Yeah, the age difference is definitely creepy with Jessica and Hoyt. I will say that Hoyt has a serious case of arrested development. Still lives at home. Doesn't date. Thematically it makes sense because they are both sheltered...but why couldn't they have made her 18? Also Sarah is manipulating the hell out of Jason, too.

What an icon honestly. Love Pam not wanting to ruin her pumps by searching the woods & Bill calling her lazy 😂 Interesting that Eric hasn’t heard of this bull-person creature before either given his age. Sookie slapping Eric was wild! Jessica going out while Bill’s away. Hoyt was freaking ADORABLE talking to Jessica! 💚 Sookie wheeling and dealing with Eric was so good. Asking for $5000 cuz she missed a lot of work was hilarious 😂 Jessica’s “I’d die if I wasn’t already dead” was so cute. Lafayette finally getting home 😭 Maryann’s party was giving ultimate hedonism vibes. Definitely giving Greek goddess or maybe giving sacrifices to one that feeds off pleasure 🤔 Yes Tara breaking out of the party mist that everyone seemed to be under. Bill totally LAUNCHING Jessica Off Hoyt was crazy. Glad he was okay. Oop Daphne with the scratches! It’s always someone that gets close to our characters. Curious if she’s one of those creatures that attacked Sookie too. I need Tara to break free & rejoin the other characters. I don’t like her being so separate from everyone. I’m hoping her stubbornness & strength keep her from getting got by whatever Maryann’s plan is. Totally agree with your thoughts on Egg being a plant. Can’t wait for Sookie & Bill to start tracking down the missing vampire sheriff in Texas & see how that storyline intersects Jason & the anti-vampire church group. Jessica & Hoyt were so cute! 🥰 The age thing was definitely a concern. Thanks for another lovely reaction & discussion 🖤

The age of consent on LA where they’re supposed to be is 17. Not saying that makes it okay, I actually think it makes it creepier since it feels like they went for the lowest possible age. But there it is. Also probably why they made Sam 17 in the flashback.

She’s a vampire. Human age morality kinda goes out the window at this point. Especially when you think about the fact that she’s never going to age is she supposed to exclusively date teenagers for the rest of her life? That’s what people typically have a problem with on other vampire shows when the 17-year-old vampire that’s been alive for 145 years dates a teenage girl they don’t like it but this vampire is instead dating an actual adult.

Well i see what you mean. But if jessica was turned as a 17 year old 100 years ago that would be different. She was still 17 when she got with hoyt. So i dont personally think it applies here.
