Whee, the Decade Dance! One of my favorite things about this show is the endless parade of town events, festivals and traditions. It's like Stars Hollow with a lot more murder and mayhem. "This Damon I like" --exactly! He's a whole different character when he's working WITH our other characters against a common enemy, rather than when he's the enemy our other characters are pitted against. Damon is still impulsive and reckless, but we don't mind so much when we're all on the same side. I'm glad you're liking Ric; he's one of my all-time faves! I've always thought the vervain gifts for humans are kind of a bad idea. If a vampire can't compel a person into forgetting something, they'll just kill them, so it's not the best strategy to protect humans, in my opinion. Loving these reactions! Many thanks!

"If history is any indication, there's only one liar among us." And all Stefan is doing with Damon at that moment is lying. Damon is good at helping out when something happened, he can be taken advantage of, but when it comes to helping him, he's lied to and betrayed. Of course, Damon is a arse and has done terrible things, but he keeps trusting Stefan, asking X times if it’s true this time, and even asking Elena if he can trust Stefan, only to be duped again in the end. This time not just by Stefan, but also by Elena, whom he has trusted openly and honestly and tried to build a good relationship with. As much as I want to, I just can’t side with Stefan and condone what he’s doing to Damon.

It is dark, queer, gothic, romantic and absolutely perfect when it comes to acting, writing and story telling. Not to speak of the visuals! I really really think you guys would love it! I came to your channel when you started Hannibal, it is my all time favourite show alongside Penny Dreadful and Interview with the Vampire. Unfortunally no reactor ever choose PD because it is more niche and I guess more popular shows get better numbers but I will keep recomending this on your posts now and then just to make sure you don't miss out, and because honestly there isnt any reactors out there I will love to watch reactions to that show more than yours! Agreed 100%. I also love Stefan as a character, but we can call all of them out when they are being unfair/unkind/shady. These characters aren't one sided, they are nunaced and written to be "human" in that way. We all do shitty things, and have to try and make up for them or give into them. Idk, for me it's very Angel and Spike -- both characters are great and interesting and well-written, but they can both be very shitty (and comparison here is bs anyway, because Angel has a soul and for the majority we know him, Spike doesn't -- which does make them fundamentally different from seasons 2-6). Lol.

Love Stefan giving Elena enough vervain jewelry for all her friends. But where was this energy when Damon was literally controlling Caroline since he arrived? 😭 The vampire in Elena’s house on the ceiling was wild. Love a good school dance episode. The vampire didn’t look conspicuous AT ALL in his black hoodie at the 50s themed dance. Oof Caroline continuing to fumble things with Matt was rough. Never heard the phrase eye stalking before this. Stefan & Elena at the dance was so cute. The whole vampire stalking scene at the dance was so tense. Elena holding her own was awesome! Alaric’s interactions with Damon were so charged. Their acting chemistry is great. The Isabel name drop! 🤯 The Matt & Caroline kiss scene was cute. Anna & Ben plotting tho! 🤯 The twists just keep coming. I really like all the drama & intrigue in this episode. Another fantastic reaction from y’all 🖤

Exactly! Like hello? Why wait so long Stefan when he knew for a fact Damon was using Caroline like that. But also her mom not making sure she had some is the most absurd thing to me. Like even if because of their strained relationship she wouldn’t take a gift from her or anything, at least put it in her food or something she knows she’d drink to protect her. I know they mentioned prior they were running low but still if she was my kid I’d make sure she had some. Maybe in her eyes she figured if she was protected she could stop the vampire before it would become an issue to worry about but still.she was almost immediately targeted by a vampire 🤦🏽‍♀️

caroline can 100% be shallow and has no filter. she doesn’t think anything she says is wrong and has difficulty seeing how her words can hurt others. she’s also a teenager so without a prefrontal cortex and no impulse control i give her a tiny bit 🤏🏽 of grace but she can be better and nicer to people for sure. also i don’t see why people get upset about stefan lying to damon. damon has done nothing good or positive since he came to town. he’s killed and manipulated multiple people but when stefan lies to him to protect innocent people and stop a bunch of vampires getting out, he’s the bad guy? people just look for reasons to hate stefan and blame everything on him. i think people also forget that damon isn’t the good guy. so what he’s doing it for “love”, that still doesn’t make it right. stefan isn’t perfect by any means but when he does something bad or morally wrong it’s for a good reason. he doesn’t intend to hurt people yet damon does. intentions matter!

He is, but Stefan needs to lose the idea he can do no wrong just cause Damon has done bad things. Damon's lies have done more damage, but Stefan probably has lied more frequently than Damon. Love this show, but the brothers are both a bit toxic.
