And the fact that she has to modulate her performance even more when it's Katherine pretending to be Elena. I rememeber an interview she did after the season 1 finale where she said her goal is to play it where you don't realize it's Katherine the first time you watch it but when you look back you see all the little hints you missed initially.

I think I got this right, so far it’s been widow’s bay on Monday, vampire diaries on Tuesday, true blood on Wednesday, from on Thursday, and supernatural on friday. 2 episodes each a week, with other things sprinkled in here and there.

Listen.. I’m obsessed with Caroline’s little concert. A lot of reactors/fans hate it and think it’s super cheesy but this is literally every teenage girls dream and she’s actually a good singer. It still gives me goosebumps to this day and IM NOT ASHAMED.

I’m not gonna lie this might be an unpopular opinion…but first watch, and even rewatches I didn’t feel sorry or care about Luka and his dad dying. I understand that they were trying to do whatever they could to save Luka’s sister but I feel like they would’ve had a much better chance at trying to “save” her if they just worked with our people instead. Luka started off by lying to Bonnie, making her feel like she could trust them because they have that “witch bond”. I understand Luka was doing what his father asked but if he really cared about Bonnie I feel like he could’ve found a way to only tell her the truth and together they could’ve worked something out. But then Jonas(Dr. Martin) blaming Damon, Stefan, Elena, Katherine for killing Luka…being like “you killed my son”…well technically yes but I truly think it was actually his own fault. He’s the one who decided to not side with Damon, Stefan, and Elena when they offered to help to kill Klaus and save his daughter. Also he is the one who projected his own son to try and undagger Elijah…but you’re literally projecting your son into a house full of vampires who are going to do anything they can to keep Elijah down and daggered so obviously Damon was going to try and fight back in that moment anyway he could. It’s a little sad yeah cause they were desperate but IDK I feel like everything was the dad’s fault. This episode though is one of my faves from this season. So much happens and the Katherine and Elena switcheroo was amazing. I do want to also say that Candace has such a beautiful singing voice, but when this episode comes up it makes me think about how poorly the creators/writers treated Kat Graham not only this reason but she is also a singer/songwriter. I guess she had asked multiple times if she could have some of her music on the show which they told her no, yet pretty sure they had other actors/actresses music featured.

Honestly as soon as Luka was projected in and saw that there were multiple people in the house they should've stopped and waited for another time, or for them to be asleep at minimum? Maybe I missed it but I don't remember there being any reason mentioned that they had to undagger him that exact instant (i.e they weren't harnessing the power of a comet or full moon or whatever).

yeah there really was no reason for him to be undaggered immediately so really if they wanted to be smart about it then they should’ve waited until there weren’t multiple people or they were asleep. i think the second they realized it was katherine and not elena they should’ve waited for later.

I love the lore of Damon protecting the Bennett bloodline. Also, these 2 episodes back-to-back was so fun to watch. I couldn't remember when the Elena/Elijah cabin scene was so I was so happy to get it in this batch of episodes. This is so fun and it keeps staying crazy good throughout the rest of the season. Ahhh so excited for you guys to watch more!

Based on another series about magic, I don’t think a witch can take away another witch’s power. I think Dr. Martin just blocked it - like tied Bonnie’s magical “hands” behind her back. And he untied them before he died. But it would’ve been super frustrating if Bonnie had to figure it out on her own with Klaus coming…. Just a theory

I’m sorry but Luca and his father are not to blame just because they messed with them. Bonnie literally consistently screwed and messed with Luka. Idk, rewatching this? I feel a lot more sympathetic towards these two as i did when I was younger.
