Thank you for the support! You guys and grrls are awesome!

This admittedly jarring transition does sort of back-flow into the previous scene eventually. Trust me.

Frix did ask Peggy if she wanted to close up the scars on her face and fix her ear, and she said that she'd have to agonize over it for a few weeks before making a decision.

Living with something like a lost limb for years would take a minute to adjust to if you suddenly... found the limb, so to speak. That said, I think your brain would probably adjust pretty quickly to it being back. Depending on how long it was gone and what age you were when you lost it/got it back.

Back in high school, I jammed up my big toe real good (I won't go into details as I don't want to give everyone a terminal case of the willies) Suffice to say, I wound up with an ingrowing toenail that I really hoped would self correct, but I wound up having to deal with it eventually. It involved, as I recall, using a cotton swab with some acid on it to kill part of the root of the nail so it wouldn't grow back wrong like an unattended beaver tooth. The toe was anesthetized and the worst part of the experience was getting a cramp in my hip while the doctor was doing his thing. But I still lived with a painful ingrown toenail for like... I don't recall... a year, maybe? At the time, I knew I would never forget the daily pain and limping, but today, like... 35 years later? I honestly don't remember which foot it was. You'd think one of my toenails would be slightly narrower, but I guess the root actually did eventually recover, just not as a dummkopf pointing in the wrong direction.

I guess that points to the plasticity of the (relatively young) brain. Also a year spent limping is different than multiple years of not having a leg, so it will probably take Peggy a little while to adjust.

Everyone share your grievous bodily injury stories! Yes, Opus the Poet. You have mentioned getting run over by a truck, but feel free to regale us again. It is possible you "win" at... you know, things-that-should-have-killed-me-but-didn't stories.

I think the toe thing is my worst one. I've never broken a bone. I used to drink about half a gallon of milk a day when I was a teenager. I think that was the only thing I drank at the time. Oh, you know, I say I've never broken a bone, but there was a time when I was trying to unwind a swingset swing in a playground, and I jumped up to swat at it, and my foot came down right on the edge of the trench that gets scooped out under the swing, and my foot went 90° sideways. The bottom of my foot was facing the side of the other foot, basically. I'm pretty sure the underside of my ankle came into direct contact with the ground. That was in college, and like a dumbass, I never went and got it looked at. I just limped my way to class the next day. I don't know if I broke a bone, but I definitely snapped some tendons or ligaments. That ankle is still a little bit misshapen to this day. Though during my peak gym rat days, I was still able to do the full 300lb stack of the standing calf machine, plus another 180 from 45 lb plates hanging somewhat precariously off the hand grips. Like a full set, not a 1 rep max. So it sort of healed up okay. That ankle isn't that stable with lateral movement though, if I'm honest. Good thing I don't have a gender driven expectation or desire to wear high heels.

I also stepped on something living in Galveston that left a centimeter barbed... quill? Spine? Something, right in the center of the ball of my foot. That was the only time I ever got stitches besides getting my wisdom teeth out and after shoulder surgery from fucking up my shoulders in the gym. Man, come to think of it my feet have had a hard time.

This is fantastic, even if i feel bad for laughing

Booty, opening up with the immediate ass shot, bold move cotton. Always a crowd pleasure. As for injuries to feet I’ve broken the same ankle twice, it sucked both times and would definitely not recommend

As a clumsy ox, I sympathize. Broke my leg last year slipping down my slightly sloped front lawn. Didn't realize I'd broken it at first; thought it was just a high sprain and ended walking around on it for 2 weeks after that. Doctors were shocked I wasn't in more pain.

I have not, repeat NOT, broken a femur, my pelvis, or spine. Everything else has been broken at least once, sometimes multiple times, and in three different injury instances shattered. My x-ray is basically look like a jigsaw puzzle. The absolute worst of lot was when I separated my sternal plate. Basically my chest compressed in such a manner that my Sturnum popped off of my ribs. I could not lay on my back or my side for about 3 months. Had to sleep sitting up and every breath hurt. I have such a stupid high tolerance for drugs that nothing short of morphine works on me and strangely enough the doctors don't like prescribing morphine, or anything stronger, these days

I am surprised you didn't go for the old joke 1-2-3 feet - A yard!

Might not beat Opus, but I have crush injuries from getting squeezed between a U-Haul truck and a loading dock. The minor stuff: three cracks in my right hip, one crack on the right side of my L5 (no neurological concerns), and one crack in my left ankle. The big one: a more than foot-long tear in my abdominal wall, through which my intestines pushed out, bulging out my right side (I’m lopsided to this day). Seventeen days in the hospital. Fortunately, I was at work, so everything was covered by workmen’s compensation. That was in 2011.

I never had a broken bone. I had two head injuries. One in the back from falling on a rock and later one in my right eyebrow from falling on ice. I still have a scar from that second one. I also had a broken fingernail on my right middle finger from falling off a bike. It required my whole finger being wrapped. I was a sack of potatoes as a kid.

I no longer have big toenails - ingrowing ones run in the family (Dad also had his removed), and I tried just having the edge removed multiple times, but it kept happening again, so eventually I just had them taken off entirely.

Injuries? Um... when I was a kid I hit a pothole while riding my bike very fast, went over the handlebars, and sandpapered the skin off half my face sliding along the asphalt. I've broken a hand punching someone in the jaw (he REALLY deserved it and I still stand by that 32 years later!), and I broke my little toe a few years ago rushing through my house like an idiot while barefoot and accidentally smashing said toe against a door frame.

Wings of Genesis

Injurie not really, though it left me with a little to medium limp to this day (depends on if i concentrate whilst walking and if im tired) I had a necessary hip surgery when i was 5 ½ years old. The other thing was never broke a bone though i managed to dent my shin when i fell into an campervan when the steeping stool gave away have a scar there and no feeling anymore on that spot

I've had each limb in a cast for a broken bone at one point or another in my life, though the last was in 2004. However, I do have severe arthritis in my left ankle because of that last one, and my left knee cap isn't the most reliable anymore (though it has been doing better recently).

Once again, Dave giving us the most wholesome foot stuff on the interwebs

I used to tell people about one time when I jumped off of a back porch of a house that my dad was renovating and impaling my foot on a toy truck axel. I remember it very well except that it didn't actually happen to me. It happened to my dad, and I was so truamatized by it that I thought it happened to me until my dad corrected me at a big family get-together when I tried to tell the story.

Not to derail the mutilation stories, but holy handgrenade that first panel is hot.

It stings like all wonderfulness.

'79 Chevette goes off a 70ft hill with me in the hatch back trunk. I was five. Slope grade is like 45%, pretty steep, but it isn't a sheer drop. At the bottom of the hill is a liquor store off to one side and a dirt parking lot. Car ends up coming to a rough rest in the lot and I'm ejected through the non-safety glass hatch onto the lot. No major injuries, but I have scars across my right hand and forearm and a wicked scar across the right side of my right eye, right at the eyelid crease. ER doc ended up pulling a small glass shard out of the cornea of my left eye. It all sounds worse than it was. I don't remember the accident, but the scars remain, and their itch a lot from time to time, 41 years later. Also, the corneal scar jacked up my vision in my left eye (20/70), making my right eye compensate over time (best was 20/5). 41 years later I have to wear glasses to read anything closer than the ends of my arms.

Partial spinal severance c4-c5 limited use of left arm, several muscles in back and neck that don't work and atrophied away, or don't work RIGHT. (Result of running up the back if a utility vehicle that was REVERSING UP THE HIGHWAY in the mud 2000s.) Same incident also shattered the left side of my cheek, left orbital, and folded in the left side of my jaw. All mostly healed, and aside from job issues at the time I wasn't out if pocket more than painkillers and transport. (Gotta love non-american healthcare). Combined with arthritis in left hip and right jaw. No, the pain never goes away. I'm not sure if it's gotta better over 2+ decades or I've just gotta better at compartmentalising it. That's my story. Moving on.

I wish the Patreon had exclusive NSFW versions of pages like this.

I love that ear-to-ear grin. Actually that whole middle row of panels!

I've broken both my pinky toes at one time or another. I think. It never was enough of an issue to do more than tape them up. Other than that, no bones broken. But: I fell down an basement stairwell when I was 8, which did permanent damage to lower back muscles; I slipped in the bathroom when I was in HS and sliced my foot open; I had a brown recluse bite that involved antibiotics and a drain, and I've had two full-on absence seizures.

dst1980

I can relate to no broken bones. I can also relate to freakish leg strength - in HS, I put 345 pounds on the leg press and did a few reps with no issues. Genetically, bone density seems to be heritable - I don't float well, even though I have a bit more body fat than desirable and no significant increase in muscle mass. I have also seen pictures of my grandfather floating in the Dead Sea. Without context, you wouldn't think much of it, but seeing people in the background floating much higher makes it more impressive.

Polysanity

am i alone in remembering peggy having a spiderweb tat on/around an elbow, i think left?

FuzzyDragon Cosplay

I spent 3 years dealing with an ingrown toenail on the big toe of my left foot. I would get it healed up, then stub it on something and wind back up with an ingrown nail. I cut the section of nail out at one point with an exacto knife, and that helped for a while, but did eventually come back again. Thankfully it's stayed headed up for over a decade now, but the nail on tgat toe is humped on the side that was ingrown.

TexasTies

Peggy butt! But also, very happy that she's so happy (even if her toe isn't.)

NickPG

Not an injury but in my experience a kidney stone beats out putting weight on a newly broken leg for sheer, blinding, don't-know-what-the-hell-to-do agony. Makes standing on a Lego brick, an upturned 3-pin plug or a sewing needle (difficult to pull out) seem like bliss.

Daikaiju

Size 13 feet. I feel this so much.

AlpineBob

Been in multiple motorcycle accidents resulting in broken bones.

AlpineBob

Also, didn't Peggy get a dotted line tat to demarcate her new foot? Or am I misremembering?

eddi_TBH

I think a lot of us share Peggy and your pains. I've done a couple three door jambs where I had to sit down suddenly. On the other hand, she has never been happier to jam a toe.

Alysandir

IIRC, Peggy was the first NSFW pin-up you made available as a vote incentive. Once she's decided on her scars, it might be interesting to see an updated version, or a "how it started" vs "how it's going" companion piece.

He Who Must Drink Some Coffee

It's probably really wrong that my first reaction was, "So, Peggy sleeps topless." On the other hand, I guess I have never thought of her legs or lack thereof as being the defining thing about her, so... good?

Richard Griffith

Reminds me of an aquaintance. He lost a leg from just about midcalf due to a bad car crash as a kid. He'd grown up with out a leg and was used to it. But one day after work and a couple of cool beverages we got to the regrets portion of the bitches conversation. Another coworker was complaining about wet boots and athletes foot when the first simply said he'd take it all. Fungus, stubbed toes, ingrown nails, all of it, for the ability to get up in the middle of a night and walk to the throne without having to find the leg or grab a crutch.

Tim Malmström

"Aaaaah. I *love* having toes again!" *CLONK!!!* "GAAAH!!! I *hate* having toes again!!!"
