Thank you for the support! You guys and grrls are awesome!

It's a good thing Gellen found something Sydney liked right away, because otherwise, presenting her with the unlimited options that mass fabricators present would usually vapor lock her brain.

I'm not sure Maxima owns anything angora, but Sydney's alternate suggestion doesn't quite work with "don't maliciously apply a cheese grater to Maxima's leather jacket." For one thing, that wouldn't work if Max was wearing the thing, and for another, no one really takes cheese graters to leather coats so it wouldn't be an aphorism that anyone would identify with.

Gellen was always supposed to look like an anime pretty boy. You know, all bishonen like. But I'm terrible at drawing "pretty" boys, and I always get him wrong, so this time I used reference. In this case, the reference I used was Shin, from Fist of the Northstar, which is about as far from a bishonen title as it gets. But Shin had the long chin and intense eyes, as opposed to everyone else who square jawed to the point of deformity.

I want Gellen to sound like Ricardo Montalban, just because I saw an episode of Columbo where he played a famous matador. Colombo was in Mexico on vacation with oft talked about but never seen wife, and according to this episode, matadors were apparently treated like Dukes or something. Anyway, Montalban said "matador" like "mat-ta-DOR!" and that always stuck with me for some reason.

But then, almost anything Montalban said was cool sounding. I wonder if he talked like that off camera? It would be cool to hear him order lunch at the craft services table a few times, but eventually it would be frustrating cause it'd take three times as long for him to order his hot pocket and frito pie. (In this hypothetical I'm assuming Montalban had terminal indigestion.)

Actually, I wonder what a conversation between Montalban, Jack Palance, James Earl Jones, Charles Dance, Stacy Keach, Morgan Freeman, and John Wayne would be like, assuming they all used their full on-camera actor voices. There'd be so much gravitas the Earth would disappear into a singularitas.

But seriously, imagine Jack "Believe it....... >inhale<.............. or NOOOOOOOT!" Palance ordering a cheeseburger. "I'd like...... >inhale<........... a cheeeeeeseburger..... with no pickles.......... >inhale< extra..... dijon mustard..... >inhale<......" You get the idea. How long until you'd be like, "OHMYGODJUSTWRITEITDOWN!"

Space latex is always the way to go, it can be the whole outfit a nice undercoat and a conduit to biocontrol your giant robot.

Michael Obert

The Psylocke bodysuit is timeless; I don't care what anyone says

A.C.R.O.N.Y.M.

Typo in the second speech bubble. "movents" -> "movements"

Bob Ellis

Very well done comic. And that angled shot of Max in panel three is awesomely done. Definitely Max and very very pissed. Beautiful work.

Torabi

I don't know that it's been brought up, but is Gellen human? Aside from the skin and ears, he looks like he could at least pass for one, but he's still much closer to Terran ranges than Cora.

Mathew Aaberg

Well it makes sense he found something Sydney would like, she's been on the ship before and he probably asked frix.

Cley Faye

That's an image that's been drawn… hehehe.

Thisguy

I’ll be honest, I kinda want Sydney to just go to Frix and say “pick my disguise and dress me”

You_With_The_Face

Love how the aliens have consumed enough earth media to use the "tugging on Superman's cape" idiom correctly, all so they can josh Max

Rob Wright

Should not be "love to live dangerously" ?

Granraude

I hope the next vote incentive is Maxima in the cleft-hugging smart latex.

Ampws

Last panel rear leg is iffy.

Andrew Denton

Man, I never want my clothes to be described as "cleft-hugging".

Czarzhan

I think Sydney should make a disguise for when (and you know it's gonna happen) she needs to use the orbs in a "hero" capacity. I suggest "masked space fairy" so she can use the decorative wings Cora bought her on Fracture Station.

Justaguy

Throw Christopher Walken into that conversation and it would last till the heat death of the universe.

Aforementioned conversation would be interesting, No audio file available but AI put this together... 🎬 Scene: "La Tavola d'Oro," a cozy Italian bistro with red-checkered tablecloths, Sinatra crooning from a corner speaker, and aromas of garlic and basil hanging in the air. The front door swings open—and in strides a legendary ensemble… Ricardo Montalban (suave and dramatic): "Ah… the richness of this establishment, the scent of Tuscany whispering to my soul. I shall have the Osso Buco, slow-cooked, as life itself should be—elegantly." Jack Palance (gravel-voiced and sinister charm): "Hmm. Give me the lasagna. Extra sauce. And none of that low-fat nonsense. I want to taste danger in every layer." James Earl Jones (deep, commanding): "I’ll have the Eggplant Parmigiana... and make sure it's fortified with dignity. That, and a Chianti bold enough to silence a room." Charles Dance (cool, aristocratic): "I'll take the squid ink risotto. Something complex… enigmatic. Like plotting a coup with a spoon." Stacy Keach (rugged and earthy): "Spaghetti with clams. No fuss. Just honest food served the old-fashioned way. And bread—warm. Rustic. Like my grandfather used to bake." Morgan Freeman (wise and mellow): "I believe I’ll try the gnocchi. Light, like memories on a Sunday afternoon. Tossed in sage butter. Simple is sacred." John Wayne (slow drawl and swagger): "Fettuccine Alfredo... and bring me a meatball the size of a fist. No fancy stuff—just good grub, partner." 🍷 The server retreats, both honored and slightly overwhelmed. Want me to expand the dialogue into a short script, maybe add some table banter or reflections on life as they wait for dessert? This scene’s just getting started.

Magraal

You forgot Kevin Conroy. For the gravitas-inducing conversation.

Cacorias85

So, is there a petition that we can sign to have the next NSFW pinup be Max in that smart latex outfit or....

Anton Schleef

Hmmmm......for the next vote incentive can we get Sydney in a Retro Future Uncompromisingly Form Fitting Space Latex hybrid outfit? After all, Retro Future is already half-way to the Uncompromisingly Form Fitting Space Latex anyway, depending on whose Retro Future design you're working with.

Hugh Eckert

I would like the next vote incentive to be Sydney modeling different outfits for Frix...

Alysandir

Not going to lie, I originally read the title as, "Hardon couture." Seems appropriate with the space latex.

Themew

Come on MAX, Zonking extra-Terra terrans can't possibly be against any rules~? And you can prolly REALLY let loose without KILLING someone? XD!

Seth Ruskin

So I've seen requests for Max drawn in various outfits and Sydney in various outfits for the next incentive. So I'll be the voice of... Why not both?

Eric Loken

From some interviews I saw, and recordings of panels, I think Montalban had a certain amount of gravitas in the way he talked just because of who he was - not unlike some Asian actors in Hollywood who have these super deep voices that seem to come up from their shoes. Montalban's DRAMATIC delivery however was purely put on for a role, even if that role was merely to talk about "Real Corinthian Leather' - some might call it over acting or scenery chewing these days, but that sort of thing used to be expected if not actually required, particularly for a 'foreign' actor. (spoiler, there is no such thing as Real Corinthian Leather, it's merely a marketing term attached to some specific leather used in some models of Chrysler vehicles in the mid 70s, deliberately chosen to sound foreign, exotic, and luxurious... even though it was actually pretty mundane stuff made in New Jersey).

Tim Malmström

I'm more surprised he knew all those references.

Reigys

... joking or not, that would look simply awesome on her lol.
