Thank you for the support! You guys and grrls are awesome!

I've shown Frix wet before, so we know he isn't all fluff like an owl. But in panel 4 there, he does look a little skinny without all his fur brushed just right. Anatomical quirk, or rule of funny? You be the judge.

Wearing a "Glowbod" would be a lot like wearing prosthetic makeup, in that it's physically there. Or at least presents as a solid surface to touch. I would think that if you're glued into a werewolf snout, you have to eat lunch through a straw because it takes 8 hours to get into the makeup, and the director, producer and FX team won't let you try and eat a manwich with your fake muzzle. The main difference with a glowbod is that there's no weight or spirit gum tugging on your forehead fuzz and pressing into your face, making you feel like you just got botox.

Cora and crew have the super advanced version of this hard light hologram system, in fact, they're using a less comprehensive version of what Cora uses to generate her limbs and outfits. She has full sensory inputs transmitted through her hard light projections... context appropriate inputs - she doesn't feel pain if someone stabs her in the armor plating, but she does if she steps on a lego barefoot. She can dial up or down the sensitivity of those inputs as well, naturally. The version Sydney and Co. are using has haptic feedback, and some muted temperature sensory pass through, but that's about it.

There's probably some algorithm (I refuse to call such a thing "A.I.") that watches facial expression and body language and translates that to ear and tail movements, or wing twitches, or whatever extraneous body parts are included in the illusion, but it takes a while to observe a learn how the person wearing the glowbod behaves.

The lamp of course is fully sentient and capable of contempt.

ADORBZ Facial is ADORBZ~! <3!

I'm guessing the hard light holograms have to be able to apply force so now I'm wondering if they can act as a power armor and enhance the wearer's strength.

I would hate that lamp, silently judging me, making me so neurotic I turn into a compulsive cleaner. So while it would be good for my living space, it would be very bad for my head space.

There's no "B" in plum... unless you're laying pipe :P

You_With_The_Face

You were DYING to do a shot of Sydney with...juice on her face, weren't you?

I do wonder how they make scanners that don't emit stuff visible (and bothersome) to one or more of the species in their society. We use a lot of infrared light or ultrasound. But for other species it might be right in the middle of what they can see or hear. It would be annoying to have something in the corner of the room constantly flashing, or screeching at you. And when a new species joins, they might have to redesign things.

I see what you did there in panel 9. Naughty naughty.

I think Frix looks skinny in panel 4 because Sidney's sonic attack has changed local physics. Love Cora's expression in panel 3. Also, kudos on the li'l bat person in the Star Wars fighter pilot outfit. Are they carrying a phaser?

I'm surprised you didn't show Sydney accidentally biting her own fingers because her 'mouth' now extends much further out than it used to.

Modern hotels would love that lamp. It would make it so much easier to monitor people and catch them damaging the room or otherwise breaking hotel rules that they agreed to. Privacy? Not if you don't own the space. /s

Sydney got a snootful that time.

Well found my new lock screen image for my phone.
