Thank you for the support! You guys and grrls are awesome!

Never poke a sleeping... Actually, it's probably okay when she's more or less pinned under 450 lbs of space boyfriend.

I would have actually given even chances that Sydney's dreams were totally coherent and had sensible continuity. Although, come to think of it, what she exclaimed upon waking is... true? So I guess there's every chance that her dreams are sensible affairs.

Happy New Year and hopefully you all got decent Xmas loots. I mostly got dice. A set of Opalite ones, (which are only a 5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale and I've already cracked off the tip of the D4) and some aquamarine Tiger's Eye, which are 6.5-7, so they're a bit safer to roll. The D4 is always the one that's most in danger of breaking, cause it has the thinnest pointy bits on it, and honestly I don't have a lot of cause to roll those. I usually play strength based fighters and they usually roll D6's, D8's, or D10's for damage. Hmm, you know, I don't think I've ever rolled a D12 in a D&D/Pathfinder game. I was hoping to get Fray up to D12's by stacking enough size category and natural weapon enhancements on her, but of course, it's better to roll 2D6's than it is 1D12. Still, it's not so much the dice cracking that you have to worry about, so long as you roll them into a slightly soft dice tray, the softer stone dice just have a much better chance of getting scratched up if you roll several at once, like the percentile dice, or if you're a dumbass and roll a stone D6 with some metal D6's.

Because I'm sure someone will ask, "Didn't they start their trip with blonde Harem?" The answer is yes.

Harem is taking a big risk popping into the room like that. There are some things that should not be interrupted.

Shade Jones

Harem has an ahegao sleeve? Is it temporary?

Autoskip

True, but she announced her presence repeatedly and waited for a reply - if Sydney (and/or Frix) were still doing anything that should not be interrupted by the time she saw them, it’s on them.

JasonAW3

The scary part? Sydney is exactly correct... The digerido sounds almost exactly like a Tibetan throat singer... Also a lot like Mongolian throat singers...

Anton Schleef

No, it's still rude to enter without permission, and thus the onus would be on Harem and not them. Besides, I have the feeling that Harem wouldn't necessarily mind a peak at such things. At least, not until Sydney and Frix get their vengeance on her, but Harem has repeatedly shown that she isn't as concerned about such consequences as she should be.

Justaguy

Nah, she can still hoik those orbs at you while sleeping. :) I'm somewhat nervous about what happens if she grasps the pew-pew-orb in a moment of passion reaching for something to hold onto. :)

Michael Obert

Harem must have needed her sportier, athleisure wearing self for a mission on Earth. Yeah, that's it.

Miyaa

At least the boyfriend is wearing pants right? I just assumed Harem would catch the couple post coitus.

Torabi

We already know Harem can teleport one of her bodies any distance, as long as another of her bodies is already there. That part's not surprising. What surprising is that she could teleport through a closed door without any visuals to guide her, when we know she can teleport someplace she hasn't been with just the aid of a fuzzy camera feed, as displayed on pages 1108-9. So either she's been in Frix's room before, she took a risk, or she's learned a new trick.

Mark Magagna

No barbarian characters? Barbarian with a greataxe should be rolling d12 for damage and and also for hit dice on level up. 5E would also use for hit dice of healing on short rests. Yeah, a dice tray is a really good idea if you're using exotic dice. I bought some metal d6s at Gencon. Rolled them a few times on my friends table (refereeing GURPS at the time). Then we noticed the wood of the table was fairly soft. I don't think we ever did get the dents out.

Mark Magagna

I suppose that's what happens when a combat monster faces a social attack and is precluded from going to combat. Yes, "weaponized confusion" is a social attack and I stand by that assertion.

Bowoodstock

You know...while the current WIP Maxima reward is excellent (Gaxgy has good taste), some of those panels with Sydney and Frix make me think a "couples boudoir" style reward with the two of them would be excellent as well.

Magraal

I was wondering why they were wearing pants at all but it did just occur to me that maybe they do actually just *sleep* together while they can (and when Cora isn't in the mood for furry fun).

Town Crier

It is a good thing that you did a close-up of Sydney's sleeping face, otherwise she looked like she had blissfully died of asphyxiation from a fur-covered arm that weighed more than her entire body.

Town Crier

My co-GM and I agreed that characters would just get max HP for each die. Saves on additional fuss. He and I disagree, of course, on administering XP, as he does such, and I just tell the players when they can pop level before the next session, that way I set the pace of advancement, and there are no hurt feelings because some players put forth significant effort in either/both of the social and role-playing aspect, and other players show up clueless and eat all the snacks, but each receive similar XP, because the GM really can't be bothered. Instead I give out Fate points for those who show up on time, help with setup and tear down/clean up, bring snacks and/or drinks to share, don't disrupt the session with non-game related nonsense, etc... These Fate points can be spent on improving one's character, like buying extra spell slots, getting a +-5 on a d20 roll per Fate point expended (this can be applied to almost any roll in the session), buying up a stat, or getting a GM SURPRISE!!! (which is usually in-game neat stuff, but could also include the GM cooking up a preferred dish for said player, like my lasagna). So, though every character will be the same level, some will be able to have a more significant role and receive more glory.

Czarzhan

Well, she established that she gets a feel for where she's targeting, so she doesn't materialize in anything solid, so just moving "four feet thataway" shouldn't be an issue.

Town Crier

Actually, Harem is being quite respectful, especially as Sydney is present on this mission in a military capacity, and upon not answering to repeated knocks on the door by a superior, is open to many a rude awakenings that said superior choses to apply.

Richard Riley

I significantly outweigh my first wife. The struggle was real.

Hugh Eckert

Also, Sydney is definitely the "sleep clothed" type, no matter what led up to being in bed.

eddi_TBH

Since Dave comes up with these lines, it proves Sydney is his subconscious cutting loose.

eddi_TBH

Sydney did say she was going to cuddle Frix and turn her brain off.

eddi_TBH

If that version of Harem gets permanently destroyed, the sleeve will be gone. Otherwise it's how you pick her out of the lineup.

eddi_TBH

The only reason Harem would be doing this is for something important.

Shade Jones

I'm betting it's one of the cloth sleeves that can be taken off cause otherwise maxima would have a field day on harem

Shade Jones

Well, some other form of temporary, like the two week inks since she's in bed clothes rn

TIPDucky

Interesting that the orbs also apear to be sleeping in bed with them and not hovering a foot above his arm.

eddi_TBH

When Sydney sleeps the orbs rest nearby.

Eric Loken

Is that why she is no longer your wife, asphyxiation?

Eric Loken

"don't disrupt the session with non-game related nonsense" Well, that dooms our entire group. I found as we got older, and had less time to game it got worse due to work and life. Kids really screwed it, especially for the mother who desperately needed social interaction that wasn't with a toddler (either children or husband). Back when we gamed multiple times a week and ran 10 hour gaming sessions, it wasn't nearly as difficult to stay on topic (assuming no one got the giggles from a joke that kept them going for an hour - re: "shiver and quiff" from Critical Role).

eddi_TBH

The rules about tattoos have changed. Max hired her knowing about the sleeve. Note all the uniforms are long sleeved.

Shade Jones

Ok. Curiosity got the best of me, and punk harem seems to cycle through tattoos. She had a flame pattern on her waist in an early appearance that didn't show again, and this ahegao sleeve has shown up before (5/18/23), but has been shown blank after (8/7/25). So I'm for sure thinking temporary ink patterns.

davebarrack

The Ahegao tattoo is a real one, but it's possible I forgot to apply it in pages after it first appeared.

Shade Jones

Ah! Okay. Thanks for the clarification!

That Harper Gal

I am now INCREDIBLY envious of Sydney ...don't suppose there's any chance of getting woof beefcake at some point, is there?

Kevin Wright

Awww, the orbs are eepy, too. (I'm so sorry, I have a Gen Z daughter, and she has infected me.)
