Hey guys!!! So a little while back i talked about making a new series specifically for super simple riffs/chord progressions that don't necessarily warrant a full deep-dive Weekend Wankshop episode, but still deserve some love and attention! So today, i recorded my first episode of Uncle Ben's Minute Riffs! I'll be making it public in a week or so, but in the meantime, here's the title screen art and super cheesy theme music i wrote for it. Use it as a ringtone or whatever you want!

I don't have any particular genre i'm trying to stick with, and i want this to be things that players of all levels can dig into. The first one i'm putting up is from a HUGE pop hit that i'm in love with.

What tasty tidbits that aren't mega Wankshop shred fests would you like to see on Minute Riffs? Lemme know!!!!

Great idea, I love it. I’m drawing a blank on riffs I want to learn though lol

Maybe a video on scales or memorizing the fretboard. It's hard to remember where all the notes are...or maybe I hit my head 2 many times lol.

David Davis

Hello Uncle Ben, sorry about that dude , got interrupted, yes an intro to some of the most influential guitarists through the decades , 60's 70's 80's , etc the ones who helped evolve guitar playing and styles , like a trip through guitar evolution and styles, thank you

Ron Kresch

How about a forum for questions.....for example......what would you name a chord with a 1 5 flat 7 and a 9.... no third? Or what is the difference between a distortion pedal and an overdrive pedal? You know stuff like that

Shawn T

right on; to extend that idea the evolution of certain themes

David Davis

Hello Shawn T, thanks dude , yes , for sure dude, you could use different genre's, metal, rock, blues, jazz, etc, male or female guitarists, world wide guitarists , like from USA, UK, Germany, Sweden , Europe, Asia, etc, lots to explore, all super cool, can't wait to see what Uncle Ben will serve up, cheers dude

Thanks! That’s usually stuff I end up covering on FAQ You, which I need to get back in the habit of doing monthly again!
