Part 2 of the Patreon Exclusive Mixing and Mastering for Ambient Bundle!

When it comes to ambient music, mixing is one of the most important parts of the track creation process. With mixing, you have the power to creativity steer your track towards the best outcome possible while at the same time, really improve on the existing sounds that are already there.

In this video, we're going to get our hands dirty and mix our track from scratch and while we do that, talk about some very important concepts along the way. We're going to discuss the pink noise mixing trick in detail, along with EQ, compression and bunch of other mixing techniques.

Hopefully you guys enjoy Part 2! As a reminder, this is part of the paid "Mixing and Mastering for Ambient Bundle" which will be available as soon as we've reached part 3, but as a member of the Ambient Tutorials tier and up, you have access to these videos as part of your subscription. :)

Cheers and enjoy,

Pink Noise trick are going to be tested. Thank for sharing your knowledge.

Are you consider to do Atmos mix in the future? Seems it could be a nice path for ambient music.

I've been using the pink noise method but there is a degree of finesse there that I had not picked up on until I watched and *heard* you do it on this video. That explains why some of my sounds come over too loud. Lot of good stuff in this tutorial so I'm going to have to watch it again and take notes :)

Lots of good info and fundamentals even for the experienced mixing engineer. Great stuff, S1gns!

What about the kick in the ambient? What should be its characteristics and what to consider when mixing?

Thai Yogi

Great step by step guide! Really helpful to see in action on a real track and what considerations you are looking for and addressing in real time. Thanks, this series on Mixing and Mastering is a great addition to the S1gns Patreon tutorials lineup!
