Big video today for the Ambient Presets tier and up!

One thing that I haven't experienced lately is burnout. I've been on such a roll lately! That said, it is an important topic to talk about, especially when you feel like you're on a never-ending quest for more knowledge, more sounds, and searching for that "next level" of your own music production.

In this video, let's discuss this topic while we build an ambient track from scratch. Featured in the video is Pigments 4, which is an amazing synth and there's also some really juicy Phase Plant content in here to get your juices flowing! By the way, don't miss the Phase Plant SALE happening right now. An insane deal and you're going to want to check it out after seeing this...

Anyway, cheers and enjoy! Let me know what you think about this tutorial (and the topic) in the comments below.

Cheers,

Stop Press! Phase Plant becomes sentient during Quantum production session!

Great video and as always awesome sound design.

Nice one Chris ... as always! Inspiring and entertaining

Today I started a new project with making a wild "pad" with lots of modulators modulating each other and creating weird noises of wavetables blended together to a soundscape - of course in Phaseplant. I wonder where I got the idea from lol

Another inspiring demo. Do you have a video tutorial(s) where talk about your busses? Drum, synth, etc...

Just went back in time through the Patreon Guide to follow along with this one. Great opportunity/invitation to really sit down and work more with the harmonic engine for the base pad in Pigments. that engine is a little tricky just because fairly small changes in certain parameters or their modulation can make really big differences. But once I got it down better, and especially with some thoughtfully applied modulation, wow. I will be working with that engine more. And the random pluck in Phase Plant, what a great sounding patch and study in sound design. As I followed along, I wondered, hey, why are we 100% smoothing this random generator?...it's just an envelope trigger... And then, you tied the smoothed random not only to trigger the envelope but also to.... sweep the wavetable(!). Up the reverb, up the delay... Bam. Instant random sitars dreamscape in outerspace!!
