Tom (the soggy one)

Glad to see some Gryphon! Doug has already done "Lament", the third movement of this four-movement album; in a DoD, Album is "Red Queen to Gryphon Three". Chess allegories are SO rock and roll!

Tom (the soggy one)

"Brother Of Mine" is such a celebration of the reunion of these four astounding musicians (and Tony Levin). Jon got all his well-earned harping and bitching out on "Themes", the opening track, so this piece is much happier. It's ten minutes long, but you'd never notice.

Eric Schwenke

Damn. I forgot to get mine in in time.

Alan Wilson

Really looking forward to this no matter what is chosen, although obviously want mine in the top 12 😁

Andrew Marsh

Some great choices. Hope the Kate Bush song I picked is there. It is powerfully unique, and Gilmour makes it even more powerful. I love Tony Banks' orchestral pieces. Here Comes the Flood is a winner. Can't wait to hear many of these.

PLEASE register your vote for The Globalist by Muse. I am SO eager for Doug to hear it, whether as a reaction or privately, but of course to see his reaction would be amazing! A great rock/classical piece, including taking the music of Elgar's Nimrod from Enigma Variations. My favourite piece of music of all time!! You will not be disappointed!

ben-one-eye

Yay, I finally made the poll again. :) I call that progress.

Dennis den Brok

I'd love to hear your thoughts on King Gizzard, but... I have to go with Peter Gabriel here, which is one of my favourite pieces from one of my favourite albums.

Let’s see if we can get Green Grass and High Tides across the finish line this year. It finished one spot out of the show last time it was up.

Chris Gadsby

Hmm… not my favourite set of picks this year. Would have put my 5 votes on one (Caravan) this time if I could.

Daniel R. Lyons

I am happy to see the A Hunting We Shall Go Suite is on the list. I hope it gets through. 🙏 😁

Adie

Not much love for Sting and Soul Cakes 😔. Come now, 'tis most worthy, and excellently raises the spirits from the cold. 😃

Matt B

Toumas Holopainen (composer of Nightwish) needs some more love too! This is the 3rd year in a row it's gotten to this round of the 12 Songs of Dougmas, but hasn't performed well enough....I think Doug needs to hear it this time around...It is an excellent piece by the Finnish composer, full of charm, melody and epicness. Please give it a listen at least, and a vote if you like it enough :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWwSVOo5K_k

Margaret Barnes

Aw, how about just a little more love for the Moody Blues!! 💙💙💙

Ruth James

If The Globalist by Muse is making it through, I would recommend adding the track "Drones" from that album which Yhe Globalist segways into and is a Thomas Tallis style piece. BUT I would rather leave that out than not include The Globalist at all
