This album has been highly recommended and touted for much of the past year. I can honestly say that The Moth was worth the wait. I'm quite astounded by the scope and scale of this album...but I'm not surprised. Devin Townsend has produced a powerful recording that took me on a varied emotional journey. I hope you enjoy!

Nice! Very good choice. :)

It's a truly amazing piece of music Devin has created . It is his magnum opus, no doubt.

You'll find Devin tends to forget that we need to hear his vocals . I think it's his multi layered approach to music that does it , vocals blend with the music rather than stand out and lead you through.

Devin is a generational talent. Great review.

I actually love how the vocals aren't "in the way", it let's the music speak for itself and you can really focus on it.

No joke, I've listened to The Moth in it's entirety about 50 times since it came out, and it still gives me the warm fuzzies - particularly in the latter half of Covered By Causes, Orion, and Stained Hearts. I've heard/read a bunch of interviews with Devin explaining bits and pieces of it, and I still don't feel like I know enough about it, which just makes me want to listen to it again. It's so profound that it's like the subtle differences in my perspective from one hour to the next are able to subtly alter how I listen to it and reveal that little bit more of it's entirety to me with each listen. I don't know how deeply you go into new music given all the new stuff you're introduced to all the time, but I hope you can glean at least a fraction of the awe that I've received from The Moth.
