Nicholas Koenig

Great list. My six are voted. Too bad Steve Vai - For The Love of God didn't make the cut. But an impressive list!!

Jim Reeves

What a strange list, nothing for me here. I don't do discord so there's that. If I did, I'd go for Robin Trower "Day of the Eagle" and Ozzy "Desire".

Anderson Davies

Ozric Tentacles. I know, you don't know them. Vote for them, and our good ol' Doug will play more of them. Enjoy 😁

Artemisty

Achilles Stand wouldn't be my first choice for great Zep guitar.. I'd probably say The Song Remains The Same (live version - he's playing the entire solo on the 12-string - I can barely play it on a 6!)

Blinky

Always good to see at least someone recognize how great Roy Clark was. Most people just go "oh, country, whatever" but he's such a great, creative, genuinely virtuosic guitarist.

Arrow2theACL

Those not familiar with modern guitarist. Give a listen to John Petrucci (Dream Theater) and Guthrie Govan (The Aristocrats) JP is more technically impressive, but Govan is on a masterclass level of getting you in the feels. :D

Randy Hammill

For The Fish, listen to the Yessongs version.

John Osgood

You need to check out guitarist Anthony Phillips the Original guitarist from Genesis he has a great catalog of material. Check out his album The Geese and the Ghost and a song called Henry Portraits From Tudor Times.

John Baird

I think in my last message, I spoke about Steve Hackett. Sorry he’s not in there. But still some Sooperb choices

Karl Stubsjoen

Not surprisingly, my choice for The Beatles “Helter Skelter” didn’t make it to the poll. However; I think Steve Hackett should be here.

BRIAN MILLER

Maybe next year, or for a random Doug YouTube reaction, at some point Frank Zappa: "Watermelon Easter Hay" should be included. slow-ish melodic instrumental guitar solo piece.

George Davis-Stewart

Not much point in voting for discovery when the big beasts are allowed to roam.

Matthew Hackbert

Here's hoping Thin Lizzy can get more votes. I tried them in February, but they were way down in the voting. Please give a listen and vote for awesome twin guitar-ing!

DrDaveT

Options I would have liked to see: Stevie Ray Vaughan (Texas Flood), Tommy Emmanuel (perhaps one of his Beatles medleys), Mark Knopfler (Sultans of Swing or Telegraph Road, from the Alchemy Live! tour), Boston, Steely Dan (Reelin' in the Years, so many others), George Benson (This Masquerade), Leo Kottke, Bonnie Raitt

Richard Plante

Glad to see my suggestion of Mr. Crowley jumping straight to YouTube. Thanks Doug!

Freddy66

Doug..if Achilles does win you gotta check out the live version from Knebworth in 79 in addition to the album version. It’s pretty epic. 🔥

Matthew Hackbert

Since Mr. Crowley jumped to YT, let's get those votes moved over to Thin Lizzy!

Earnest Bass

It kind of feels peeps are voting for their favourites. I am drawn towards stuff I don't know. Is that a futile tactic?

Thom P

It's going to be an awesome Fan Favorites!
