This is a bit of an odd poll, as I'm interested in all these albums for different reasons.

With Kansas, Trower, and Zappa, I know one or two songs and want to hear the rest of these respective albums.

The Waters and Yes albums have been talked up to me for a long time, but I haven't yet heard anything from these albums.

SO, help me decide which one to listen to first. Pick your favorite from this list!

I have been hoping for Yes Magnification for a long time. Patiently waiting. Personally, I think it will blow Dr. Doug's mind more than Close to the Edge with the ochestra.

Bill C

Kansas has my vote!

Gary Thobaben

I think you’re due for another full length Genesis record. Wind and Wuthering :)

Jeff Norman

Maybe my fave Zappa record...

Stop Propaganda

If it was Masque, Kansas would have gotten my vote. Looks like Point of No Return is going to win anyway, inferior album though IMHO.

James Keleher

Three good songs on Yes' Magnification: In the Presence Of; Magnification; and Can You Imagine. Nice to see Robin Trower on the list, I think he gets forgotten given the many great guitar players.

Nicholas Koenig

I’ll stick with Magnification. Now if it were Franks Hot Rats I would go for that fo sho!

BRIAN MILLER

Zappa !!! One Size Fits All might be my favorite of his albums.

George Davis-Stewart

None of these appeals to me. Mr. Z. almost makes it but not quite.

John Baird

More than a few belters on Magnification, we’ll worth an earful.

Anthony Taylor

Point of Know Return should be a great fit with the Doug!

Michael L.

It probably won't win, as a not a lot of people seem to talk about Waters' solo projects for some reason, but I think Amused to Death is some of his best work.

Karl Stubsjoen

Kansas is the best on this list. My favourite album as well. That said, the Zappa album is also very good. Waters on the other hand is not something I’d not recommend. I watched him in Oslo last week. The press rated the concert poorly. I agree, even though a few Pink Floyd songs were great. He’s an angry, old man with a poor singing voice. His band saved him 😊

Richard Moore

Kansas, mainly because I haven't listened to it in years and a fresh listen with Doug's commentary would be great.

Bubbalino

I'll always vote for Roger, but I think Pros&Cons and even Radio KAOS are much better listens. The messages are told through more story, similar to Animals or The Wall, whereas Amused to Death is Roger giving it to you straight. Plus Pros&Cons has Clapton shredding away!

Jay

Ahh tough one. Amused to Death is probably his best solo album. I'd usually pick Yes but that album isn't particularly great. I think you've done their classics already, but there are still several albums ahead of Magnification. Decisions, decisions.

Slew

One of my top ten albums is Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs

Bill Brinkmoeller

I want you to get more Zappa under your belt, Doug. The more you'll the more you'll want to hear more! One Size is a very good album, with some of Frank's go-to pieces, such as Inca Roads, Florentine Pogen, San Berdino, and the Sofas. Sure hope this one wins!

Christopher Arters (relative timeworx - Mr.A)

Bridge of Sighs is an excellent album, but you need to be in the appropriate mood for it. Like dark chocolate. Point of Know Return would appear to be the clear standout on this list and Kansas is certainly worthy of more attention on the site than it has yet received. The 'pinnacle' American prog band.

Jean-François Vachon

The piano in Po-Jama People alone is worth listening to One Size Fits All! Such a great album, I hope you get to it at some point.

Dave Cohen

I'm really hoping that Bridge of Sighs picks up support. Loved your response on to the title track. You really need to hear the whole album in sequence.

Kyle Elser

If Amused to Death doesn't make it, please do Perfect Sense pt 1 & 2.

BRIAN MILLER

I hope this Zappa album will get another chance soon in another poll, or as a "Doug's pick"

David Crossen

Can't believe Kansas beat my favourite Frank Zappa album :(

Mark Brennan

My favorite, Robin Trower, got the lowest vote at 7%. Oh well, 7 is my lucky number. Why so unforgiving? And why so cold? Been a long time crossing... the Bridge of Sigggghhhhhsssss...
