I have an orange Manx cat named Fang, who likes to sleep on me like that. She doesn't like to move or be moved. However, I'm an old fart who has to get up a couple or 3 times a night to pee, and she has learned to move voluntarily (and fairly quickly) if I tell her "Lemme up, gotta pee!", rather than getting tossed from the bed.

That could very well be true, especially since the tigers appear to be nomadic and families would likely share a tent. Earlier sketches of Maeve and Adira even show them sharing a bed.

IRL, felines and canine are usually communal sleepers. Canine behavior is such that all the members of the package often sleep tangled together so if one moves more than slightly adjusting position for comfort, they all become aware. A form of silent alarm.

I think it is. Maeve was never going to sleep on her couch. She took the direct approach instead of sneaking upstairs later.

And Lt. Reed, don't worry. If you slept on your side Maeve would just sleep on your arm. (I've got cats and I know how they can be.) Also, cats only sleep on humans they trust and feel safe around.
