Okay, but I tend to think that a self-serving tease between a loving couple (and the "complaining" that comes from the teased) isn't evil; rather the play that happens naturally. I think the motto refers more to those who hold a grudge thinking they are being taken advantage of (as in non-intimate or friendly relationships). Just how I viewed this, and imagined how Flora might respond with her mate.😊

I see. Sometimes the way we interpret what we read or hear is heavily influenced by our own colloquial connotations. That's what makes diplomacy such a difficult endeavor! I once heard it said 'diplomacy is the art of telling someone they have an open mind when you are thinking they have a hole in their head.' Funny, but illustrative of human nature and (in part) how I see the meaning of the motto we're discussing. I do love having these discussions, though. Thank you!🤗🤗

Flora is canonically only slightly taller than my partner who is 161 cm tall, and I'm personally way taller than Trace is supposed to be, so this is a familiar situation with us. :p Like few weeks ago I had to reach out to the very deepest end of the topmost shelf of a store drinks cooler because she wanted a specific drink and they were nearly out, the top shelf was above my poor partner's head. ^^;
