Karen, Maddie, and Maeve on a merry-go-round, suggested by Neon Mitsumi! Maddie may be small, but she's a still a Basitin, and she's putting her Basitin strength to work.

Crimson

Looks so fun I wish I was there

Golden_Pawz

I dare you to attach a full sized jet engine on it.

RemyHindle

This is so adorable and look so fun! :)

DBZ

I would be the one flying off as a twinkle in the background... lol

Halo Hybrid

Of course they would be the ones. lol

Just a Cat

Complete chaos, I love it!

J. N. Squire

"3… 2… 1… LIFT-OFF🚀" *Maeve and Karen fly to the orbit*

Spillthefire6

Seconds before some poor fellow gets smacked by a Snow Leopard

millington

Maddie is about to create a tornado lol

Sernard

Maeve SR1 about to go in orbit

Joshu Kel'Machan

Basitin at work! Keep you seatbelts fastened … uups, to late 😎

Warmfur

Me just walking in a park: "is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's..... Ack" (I say as I get hit by a flying Maeve)

Mr. Stargate

Going super fast on those is the best.

Drazgon

Yeah, love strong Maddie very much.

Saverio Zambito

HAHAHAHAHA! THE BEST MOMENTO OF “THEIR LIFE!

Patrick Horton

Who else predict Maeve getting a broken leg because of this? Because I am.

silver dragonia

i hope nothing goes wrong with this but i feel something will go wrong but not too badly i hope

bowman502

I would LOVE to see this trio getting up to crazy shenanigans more frequently, THAT would make a good series of sketches.

Anonymous1988

I can still feel the wrenched shoulders and pulled muscles... I wonder why these were removed from playgrounds, when they were so much fun?

Onyx Dragon 388

I think the basitin race gets a +2 to strength and a +1 to dexterity

Michael Marcoccio

I think you mean a maniac-go-round. Three young ladies who probably will Darwin Award themselves long before old age… 😱

Noxitious

What kids think happens when you spin a merry-go-round:

SCD

They reenacted the ending of the Spin Fun Knowin’ Ya episode of Happy Tree Friends.

Joshu Kel'Machan

We still have one at the playground at the corner, now what I need is a Basitin …

CrimsonQuill086

And thus was born the Mekkan Centrifuge program, where the first sky pilots would be trained for their journey to the stars. To this day, a Basitin still spins the wheel with their immense strength...

Some Foxy

I can already feel myself getting dizzy from this. Reminds me of being a small child. ^^

Fortress120

Does anyone else have a feeling something really bad is going to happen?

Darwinskeeper

Nice to see the three of them having fun together.

Jadon Ayala

lol, my dad tells us a story where he did this one time when he was a kid with his siblings and my aunt when flying off. He thinks it’s so funny,.

RivCA

Ermahgerd, yerp!

RivCA

Wow, that's a blast from the past!

RivCA

Next, I imagine Maddie hauling herself onto the merry-go-round turntable and just riding its momentum to a standstill. Maeve and Karen probably won't need medical attention, but Maddie would be too dizzy to do much more than giggle with the others, even if they did get injured.

eddi_TBH

Getting those things going too fast, then jumping off was half the fun. As long as they were on grass or dirt.

Singe

Typical behavior from these 3.

wjd1206

The one in the most recent playgrounds near my house have some kind of hydraulic limiter on them. Definitely *not* like the ones I grew up with (not even the ones my children grew up with). I wonder if that has something to do with the foolish 'accidents' that have been steadily increasing over the years.🤔🤔🤔 🤣🤣🤣🤣

wjd1206

The safer we make things, the more reckless the children get. Even the girls.

wjd1206

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

wjd1206

Someone in high school did that with a 'screamin' demon' homemade mini jet... only 65 pounds of thrust, but enough to land four boys in the hospital with various injuries. Not fatal, thank God, but hopefully a lesson learned! I stand corrected; 16.5 pounds of thrust... sorry.

Joshu Kel'Machan

Uh, modern times, have to check … It almost looks as if the Basitin office for safety in the public environment is at work. They know exactly what‘s important.

Xhan

Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!

Joshu Kel'Machan

We all did that back then: last one clinging … Damn, I‘m old 😎

Joshu Kel'Machan

Well, I'd prefer Maddy, although the result may be close @Golden_Pawz You have seen that YouTube video with a 747 engine blowing away a car like a fallen leaf? Edit: just got the video link comment. It‘s the same as the thing with the car: big boys playing … 😁

Malen69

A classic Gen-X pastime!

Golden_Pawz

The one Top Gear did years ago?

mustangdrew4

Nah, maybe a couple of bumps and bruises but that's life.

Lucas1310x

I really need to See the reaction of the parents and such of These and maybe a Cut Off how they fly to the moon or some stuff XD

Emil Märkert

Do you remember when Keith said “Hullo”? In the comics I think the Basitins speak German because they a long time ago “Halt” and that means to stop someone doing something. If I am correct I have to correct the word “Hullo”. It is “Hallo” and not “Hullo”. We say in German an “a” as an “u”. I hope I could help. Dann einen schönen Tag miteinander, Servus! (I spook in German now)

Danzord Zord

Dang basitin race translator in realy life fr

Joshu Kel'Machan

Hmm, I believe we need to experience various situations involving real or perceived danger in order to grow. Even minor injuries play an important role—it’s not enough to simply be told that the stovetop is hot; you need to have burned your fingers once to truly understand. This is how we learn to assess risks and decide whether to take them or avoid them. It’s especially true during our ‘wild years,’ when parental warnings often fall on deaf ears, and the approval and respect of our peers matter far more to us. I therefore believe that it is important to offer our children these experiences in an environment that is protected against extremes. I think that this is part of a good basis for taking the right turns in life later on ... Just my 2 cents, thought.

Cheesman435876

holding on for dear life on one of those that are going really fast is peak entertainment.

Xenow Reborn

We had a spinning platform at our school, that was a new addition to the playground, it was very small and only a single person could stand on it... of course the kids decided "let's use this thing to fling ourselves off at terminal velocity!" and unfortunately, people got hurt, from either being in the way of the projectile child, or slamming into the ground, though nothing was every TOO serious thankfully. By the end of the week we got it, it had to be welded, so that it could no longer spin... and was simply a elevated platform off the ground... though I'll be the first to admit, compared to the average merry-go-round, that thing WAS a death trap, and it was only a matter of time someone DID end up getting hurt...so it was probably for the best that thing was welded before anything serious did occur

wjd1206

I AGREE,TOTALLY! But there's a point of diminishing returns in that making things 'too safe' fails to allow the development of good judgement, and altering the environment changes the perceiver's judgement. A good example is the automatic anti-collision braking that became wildly popular for a while. It hs lead many young/new drivers to feel they can do other things while driving because the car will stop by itself if necessary. Many distracted driving accidents have ensued; even if you don't rear-end the car in front of you, you can still side-swipe another vehicle. Not to mention all the failures of 'self-driving' systems like Tesla. Let the children learn from experience, including bad experiences like moderate injury. It's an unfortunate truth that pain is definitely a permanent memory!

Joshu Kel'Machan

That‘s why I wrote in an protected environment … but I must admit this often is a balancing act. Edit: protected but not overly protected … in answer to wjd1206 😊 Otherwise we are once again in agreement...

wjd1206

Did I mention that I had very poor judgement *and* really good luck?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

wjd1206

WAIT! That means I am, too. How depressing!

RivCA

Dude, you win! Bad judgement with good luck will always trump good judgement with bad luck. Good judgement/luck combo is just boring...

eddi_TBH

Kid, I was spinning myself dizzy in the 60s. 😤

wjd1206

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I've often said, "That's a horrible idea! When do we start?!"

wjd1206

Wait, a Darwin award for an intelligence operator?! 🤔🤔🤔

Joshu Kel'Machan

Take it that way: we are 25 with xx years of experience. 😎

Your name

I am millennial and I like to SPPPPPEEEEENNNNNN

Danzord Zord

Well this remain me with the good old day :3

Isenlyn

Maeve let go. She was never to be seen again. The end. XD

Crimson Dragon

Her call-sign wasn't "madness" for nothing!

Warmfur

I would be down to get snepified

Michael Marcoccio

Yeah, most Intelligence Agencies have their own version of the Darwin Awards, usually for agents who were involved in particularly stupid failures.

J. Martin Laursen

Round it goes Round it goes Where it stops Nobody knows

ijuinkun

I agree--children need to experience the risk of harm on a sprain/break a limb level, while avoiding anything that leaves a permanent disability or death. You don't know true fear or risk until you have experienced it, which may be why people who have never known it are quicker to jump to threatening violence on people than someone who has experienced actual violence.

ijuinkun

I dunno about dexterity, but given their alcohol tolerance and resilience, I would give them a +2 to Constitution.

RivCA

That would be when they "find out" from people who already knows what it means to "fuck around." It's not always pleasant, the FAFO cycle.

wjd1206

I'd certainly prefer to observe the "find out" portion of the cycle. Strange thing though, I always seem to end up right in the middle of it. Like I said... just lucky and blessed.🤣🤣🤣🤣

wjd1206

Ummm, change mine to 16 with 'xx' years of experience. Just makes me feel better about it! 😅😅😅😅😅

wjd1206

🙄🙄🙄🙄

Joe

This may seem random but the handles reminded me of Mario Kart Double Dash!! We need some Double Dash themed sketches ASAP!

Kurtis Ryan

These are the playground activities I remember.
