Easy: you aren't. Seriously, Cannon!Kat and AU!Kat have both been shown to be very hard working and usually at very detailed oriented jobs. On top of that she's one of the most socially adept characters. Other than the general "hair gets into everything" aspect she'd be really good at it.

Despite its dark and sombre tone since it was also the storyline where Keith almost fails to come to grips with his loss of Laura, it's an interesting read given how much it further characterizes Kat and also Eric on the side - since normally their mindsets tend to be the other way around, but it hammers in the point how it's quite possible for Eric to be genuinely very nice and reasonable while it's also possible for Kat to be very mean and unreasonable in turn.

So how is Keidran nudity approached in the Modern AU? In the webcomic's timeline it seems to be treated as casual dress, not appropriate for certain situations, but good for anytime a human would wear a T-shirt and shorts. I have noticed that the Keidran are usually dressed in the Modern AU, though I remember one strip (where Kat and Laura were chastising Willow for taking a selfie with them in the background) where both Kat and Flora were bottomless. I also remember the Snooters strip in which Laura suggested that Keidran nudity would have made the restaurant less family friendly. I'm wondering if manager Eric is concerned with the legal ramifications of having a partially naked employee.

In the modern series (at least as I'm currently writing it) keidran nudity is still a thing in keidran majority regions, but in places that are more mixed, humans have started to impose their dress codes on keidran citizens. This is a major point of contention, as keidran feel like their culture is being erased for the sake of humans, but on the other hand, it's understandable that human parents don't want keidran walking around "in the fur" in front of their kids. In places like New Edinmire, keidran can technically be "in the fur" legally, but there are a lot of stipulations and places they can't go like that, which makes it inconvenient enough it's not worth the hassle. So many keidran choose to keep covered voluntarily. Human fashion has also rubbed off on keidran as their cultures collide, so there's a lot of modern keidran who want to emulate humans and dress like them, and thus haven't grown up used to being in the fur like the keidran in the comic's timeline.

Sounds reasonable. Its similar to how modern western casual clothing has largely replaced traditional costume and dress around the world,to the point that wearing those older garments seems odd. Of course the simple ease of going nude as well as the Keidran need for freedom of movement and feeling for their fur,unrestrained by clothes probably ensures total clothing for Keidran will never catch on

Always cool to hear how you as the creator see the background, I'm not surprised that Eric as the manager would be worried about complaints even if Kat isn't! Additionally the notion about human culture rubbing off on Keidran makes me think of younger Keidran essentially rebelling by adopting more and more human clothing even if it's technically unnecessary or even difficult for them to wear, just because human ways are seen as cooler (grass being greener on the other side etc.).

This has a positive effect on every one of the store’s metrics. Assuming the apron has a logo on it, it should be encouraged as an optional uniform for any fur employee, bringing a 25% pay increase.

I'm certain there are at least some humans would be up for that, weather permitting. Keidran certainly wouldn't mind, other than maybe ribbing on the humans for being furless and tailless. Most Keidran would be thrilled that humans are willing to embrace their culture, since it's usually the other way around.

I just reread - by chance - the comic pages around the Heart’s Desire Spell on Na’Rella, and once again, I was genuinely moved.
