I COMPLETELY managed to forget she actually has four ears. Outside of her original profile pic from...I'm guessing easily 15+ years ago at this point, you basically never see the other pair.

The human pair is almost never shown in the comic. It is on her pic in the list of character bios, but that's about it for any time in the last 10 years or so.

Reminds me of a comic I think i saw once joking about how Raccoon Mario, his form when he gets the Super Leaf power up in Super Mario Bros 3, also has 4 ears if you think about it. The main difference between Raccoon Mario and Twokinds Karen is that with Mario we can see his human ears all the time, unlike with Karen.

Reminds me of Ochette, one of the main characters of Octopath Traveler 2 who's a beastling, a humanoid with feline ears, and in a Travel Banter with Castti, another main character, Castti looked under Ochette's hair and found out there are no human ears there! I tried to imagine what that looks like since the game is HD-2D and it's honestly very cursed.

I'm going to disagree with you on this one. Unless she's getting four different audio channels and the audio is set up right, she's getting a lot of crosstalk through those earphones. The wire would typically split stereo sound to left/right, but this has one set on her left, one on her right.

Her being able to hear with them also implies that she has the middle-ear chambers and cochleas for the second set of ears--and also that her brain tissue had to be pushed out of the way to make room for them. Not to imply that she has less brain tissue than she otherwise would, but rather that her brain is smooshed into an odd shape.

Her ears appear to not fully connect at the base of her head if you look closely at this picture. This implies that hidden under her hair are the cochlea chambers you were talking about... on the outside of her head.
