It’s hard to say. If Saria taught him to be tolerant of and kind to Keidran, the rest of the main cast might live happy lives also. It really depends on what is different in this AU verses, say, the “Broken Legacy” AU.

I wonder how Flora and Sythe would be during this AU timeline? If I recall, they were supposed to be married together to strengthen both their tribes together. Perhaps with Trace having a happy marriage and child, maybe his opinion on his treatment of non humans would slowly change and perhaps he would be more accepting of their freedom.

Its always interesting to "alter" the parts of a plot that made terrible things happen in a story and see what results. One of my favorite concepts was removing the Horus Heresy from Warhammer40k. You change the whole setting completely and this usually extremely dark universe is suddenly a noble bright setting...for mankind at least

I assume Saria's relationship with Rose and Saria's attitude in general would probably cause a regular change for the better in Trace, similar to how Kathrin ended up forcing Eric to reconsider his opinion of the Keidran by calling out the hypocrisy of seeing her like a person but not affording Mike or Evals the same treatment.

It's an interesting question! Though I admit that I don't really know enough about Saria to answer that, and I also surmise it would heavily depend on who it was a why because she's not predisposed to hate the Keidran but she might have other rage buttons (Templars perhaps, also I remember she had a rather low opinion of Nora during the Dragon Masquerade but I really doubt Nora would do something like that). Something similar which I've been pondering about in turn is a timeline where Eric would end up being killed/murdered in a way which was traumatic to Kathrin before she would be able to square her feelings about him - although it feels redundant due to the evil AU timeline, I've had plenty of musings about a futuristic "dark Kathrin" AU where she would end up being an expy for the evil canon Trace in a way which would be much less insane and much more chilling.

It's hard to say what butterfly effect would happen if Trace hadn't gone insane and usurped Mary as Grand Templar. He did save Laura from slavers (inadvertently) while attacking a wolf village. Perhaps Laura would be a slave somewhere. Or perhaps so much would be different she wouldn't have ended up captured by wolves in the first place. So much could change.

I'll copy the TV Tropes definition: "An expy (short for "exported character") is a character from one series who is unambiguously and deliberately based on a character in another, older series." - and given this, I'm not using the word in the same way but with the idea that she'd end up being someone with very similar impact and goals as the "old" Trace Legacy was in the canon universe, although probably with a quarrel against humans/Human Empire rather than the Keidran.

Lady is just a title. That's not necessarily indicative of someone's gender. But regardless, I meant the baby in my original post. We don't know their gender, hence why "they" 🙂

IDK about non-Christian religions but the festival attracts both kinds from all over Mekkan due to it's accepting atmosphere for all in friendship. This would allow the humans (Trace, Sariah, and child) to interact and spend time with Rose without serious scrutiny.

@wjd1206 I'm not sure the festival does attract people from all over Mekkan. Seemed like a very local thing to me. The dragon masquerade meanwhile is said to be a symbol of solidarity between species. And Saria and Rose did attend it earlier. And Saria did tell Rose that there no one would give them hard time for celebrating together. And according to her it does attract human and keidran from all over. And in the sketch they seem to be in Trace's mansion in Edinmire. So it would fit better for the idea. Except the origin of the beast festival is somewhere near to thanksgiving.

Could be that. Could be he simply attended to her rather than chasing (and presumably combusting/thanos-snapping) the attacker. Could be anything.

It... literally is... VERY indicative of the person's sex/gender, a male won't be called a lady, because they are male, he would be called a sir, that's why there is more then one word for that level of nobility title (given the context), in which the male equivalent would be a lord.
