Perhaps, if REEDing into this too much, Prince Twynx (headcanon last name and I don’t care, lol) is too used to proposing marriage and projecting hyper romanticism and affection but deep down, he doesn’t think anyone really “loves” him, so he desperately seeks companionship. Reed might be his first true love and it completely throws Sorrel off. I like it!
