RobertC

Keith's alter ego?

ArcadeDragon

Gotta have a follow up where she practices on Zen so she can get Eric, and it's super effective on Zen.

Kinda Squirrely

I'm getting a serious Flotsam/Jetsam vibe here

ProudLoneWolf

"Oh, so you've never bagged a man before? You have no experience...in bed? We could help with that too..." *is terrible*

csstats

This is exactly what Kat needs, advice from the mean girls. I'd love to see where that goes.

CrRAR

Earning your stripes ain't easy, kittyKat~ >;3

Thunderclap421

Jesus christ on a pogo stick *nose explodes*

Thisguy

She should get advice from Therie.

Raventail

That tigerbutt... <3

Ordithus

"Kiss me now, and your journey to the 'dark' side will be complete" - Iris, probably.
Kat, Iris, and Aerith in the same picture is a beautiful thing <3 (I prefer "Aerith" to "Co" what a weird name :P)

MoppyPuppy

"The dark side?" "Corruption?" Better than "REPRESSED" let Kat have sex, let her learn physical interaction you prudish clods. If Kat learns any truly bad lessons from these two it will be because no one she trusted taught her anything, I understand that Patreon demands PG-13 material but we're crossing to the true dark side of "SEX IS BAD M'KAY?"

MoppyPuppy

Probably with a new TwoKinds couple, one that actually has a healthy sexual relationship.

MoppyPuppy

Yes, we shall seal her in her room to ensure she never becomes corrupted with things like flirting, fornication and other things that make puritanical prudes clutch their pearls in fear.

Tevin Escobar

Woah there. Just saying that listening to these two can’t be a good thing. These girls represent the type to manipulate people using their cunning and assets. No need to get political. Besides, you can’t tell me they’re good people after the way they treated Flora.

MoppyPuppy

Sounds to me like Kat will come out with a rudimentary knowledge on how to catch the attention and seduce her love interest, Kat isn't joining their clique shes learning deeper social interaction so that she won't be continuously rejected by someone she's enamoured with as she has been for years now.

Tevin Escobar

Getting advice from those two will just get her into trouble. Like really, read their personality. If anything Kat would go through a personality change that would harm her relationship with her current group. She can get advice from more trustworthy people then two high-pedestal tigers.

MoppyPuppy

"Kat I don't want you talking to those two anymore, they're a bad influence on you!" [But mom they were just teaching me how to get a date] "Fornication! You should get more trustworthy advice, go to your room and read your Bible!" [Mom its not like that...] "You want me to beat you again?!"

Tevin Escobar

The way you explain your “point” seems like you’ve experienced this before. Sorry, but this is just a sketch. Get over it. I like the sketch but the danger that this scene presents is very obvious to anyone who knows anything about the characters.

Rachel

I'm reminded so hard of the scene from The Little Mermaid.

MoppyPuppy

No one knows anything about these characters except for the 3-4 panels in which they appeared, "oh they were mean to Flora" is entirely anecdotal and not enough to declare them as inherently evil. Even from an author's intent standpoint the most they are is a plot device to demonstrate that racism and classism is just as prominent among Keidrens not just humans, there is no telling how they would treat Kat and Kat to anyone that knows anything about the character would not turn on her friends.

STORY-COMMENT™ Before this gets started, typing this pretty much proved to me, that if I had a Waifu, Kat is definitely it. Me: “Oh My Gosh! Kat overboard! I’ll Save You Kathrin!!!” *dives off a balcony and face plants into the dirt* Kathrin: “Are you alright?” Aerith: “Don’t touch him! Is it just me or was this guy human until after he hit the dirt?” Iris: “Nah! She’s trying to catch herself a Hu-Man not a Wolfboy. Come this way sweetie and we’ll show you how to…” Me: *gets up, back in my geeky human form* “Don’t go with them! Kathrin, Because of your chase after Eric, you don’t know it. But you’ve caught a lot of people’s hearts! I think that if you stop and look around for a moment, you might find the love you’ve been seeking.” Kathrin: *hesitates to go with Aerith and Iris* Aerith: “Come on Kathrin.” Iris: “You don’t need loser freaks like him when we can hook you up with a real man.” Me: “Hey! I’m still here!” Kathrin: “Um, I’m not sure what to do.” Me: “What do you feel you should do?” Kathrin: “Um… I… Uh… I should probably give your word a chance.” Iris: “If you keep chasing these losers that’s all you’re ever gonna be.” *turns around and starts walking away* Kathrin: *starts tearing up* Me: *pulls Kat over and hugs her, patting the back of her head* “There, there, here’s a shoulder to cry on. That’s it, that’s it. You’re better than them.” Aerith: *looks towards Kat and myself* Iris: <“Come on Aerith.”> Aerith: *slowly turns and then starts following Iris* <“Iris, we’ve talked about this. You’ve been really mean to people lately. Especially people who grew up among the humans. And that “Freak” as you called him was being sincere.”> Iris: <“Pff. They’re Domesticated, and those weirdos and their magic! Of course none of them are gonna be able to be like us.”> Aerith: <“Iris, stop. You’re going too far and I think you might really hurt someone one of these days.”> *stops walking with Iris* <“I’m going to go talk to that Kathrin girl and hope you look at yourself from another’s point of view.”> *turns around to head back* “Hey! Hold on a moment!” Iris: *starts walking off, visibly down from being called out* *Cue “Apologize” by Timbaland ft. OneRepublic, as she reflects on her choices, former friends, family, and individuals she didn’t know that she left hurt by the wayside (perhaps that feral tigress was one of them, we may never know)*

DarthKeidran

Sheesh! I get both of your points, but can you two get along. On the one hand, These two, more-so Iris than Aerith, are evidently hurtful, namely presenting themselves as being more authentic, towards “Domesticated Keidran”. On the other hand, I have no doubt in my mind that they could get Kathrin a hookup with a man. It should be noted that, Aerith said those two words exactly, which means that there is a decent chance they don’t intend to get her with Eric, or another human, at all, potentially nullifying the benefit Kat may seem to reap.

DarthKeidran

I have to ditto @Thestooge here and have my mind full of question marks… Unless you’re talking about someone for Kat to fall for, but then I’m still rather quite confused A.F.

DarthKeidran

Kathrin used Attract. It’s Super Effective!!! Zen Used Nuzzle. It’s Super Effective [at causing Kat to back off and wear a shirt 👚]!!!

DarthKeidran

You mean like Trace and Flora? ;-)

DarthKeidran

Break me off a piece of that kit-Kat bar!

DarthKeidran

You’re really high maintenance. You know that? Damask holdings doesn’t have unlimited credits you know. x’D³

DarthKeidran

That is perhaps the best comment I’ve seen scrolling down thus-far.

Tevin Escobar

Figured as much. Exactly what I was saying from the start. Also, I noticed one of the comments got edited so my counter point almost doesn’t make sense. I’ll settle down though as this sketch is nothing more than a sketch. Really wasn’t supposed to turn into a pointless, (and rather annoying) argument.

DarthKeidran

Co, as in, like “Mama Coco? Or did you not finish typing it? Also, where did you hear that name for her. I know the “Aerith” naming origin (I’ve been using that name myself), but not that other name.

Sons of Lorgar

Srsly... you need to stop assuming sexual repressive moralism in everything that isn't porn...

Ordithus

It's right there in the description, "Iris and Co tempt Kathrin"

DarthKeidran

Please calm down. Tom doesn’t exceed PG-13 by choice, not because of Patreon. He could go R/M, or NC-17/AO level like some less strict Patreon creators out there if he wanted, but I remember hearing or reading somewhere that he has stated he will never draw his characters to that extent. And I’d imagine it’s because it would reduce his audience, one he wishes to teach about tolerance towards others (the general theme of the comic if one pays attention). Not once is it stated or implied that sex is bad, multiple times it says that Keidran are generally quite promiscuous for pro-social reasons, which is lended to by Therie and Aerith’s bet, Alabaster’s “knowledge”, and even some of Flora’s worries. With Natani and Keith, they haven’t “yet” had sex due to their mutual respect and love for each other, as well as the simple fact of Natani’s desire to avoid jumping into a feminine mindset or actions (not that they would go that route, but you get what I mean, Natani’s just not ready for it yet on a personal level (neither am I, which is why I haven’t had sex either)). Long story short, through the comic, Tom has never indicated sex is bad, instead teaching it as a part of loving someone, but has not, and likely won’t ever, go visually explicit. Take what you want from what I just said, but if your frustration has stemmed from any of what I just mentioned, I hope it helps.

DarthKeidran

@csstats introducing diva Kat, the version of Kat that thinks she’s more important than anyone who isn’t in her own little group. Bleh! No thanks!

DarthKeidran

Oooh, I see (check me out accidentally quoting Jane and Tarzan). It’s “Co”, as in “Co.”, as in “Iris and Company”

DarthKeidran

Eric Artéus may be unintentionally straw-manning you. What he said though, is largely what your comments are beginning to give a vibe of. If I had commented the same it would have been for because that’s what I would have been getting the sense of.

Ordithus

Hence the :P it was a joke

MoppyPuppy

My sketch suggestions always push the limit in some way but still win on occassion, so I am very aware of Tom's stance on sexual content. To be as concise as possible the aversion to sexual content causes what are in my opinion miserable contrivances in the story, all to appease an >audience< that thinks that sex is bad.

CrRAR

I think...they're more (rather harshly) criticizing her method for aquiring a man. Kat comes off as desperate when she really only needs to let a man earn the privilege of her presence. "Do like the meangirls do"

CrRAR

No pesky snapping or crunching required... she's already fun-sized! :D

DarthKeidran

I’m not going to argue, but I will say two things. A, with the exception of those in the fan base who aren’t “of age” yet, I have yet to see a member of the “audience” come out and say that it’s a bad thing. Yes, there have been moments where two characters could have had sex, and often chosen not to or were stopped. B, when they come along, much like a “big character” dying in assorted media, details and information are shown to confirm the event. A good example being when Reni peeked into Trace’s Mind. It showed that Trace and Flora were at least once engaged in lovemaking, but didn’t show Deadpool/Matrix levels of explicitness to keep it within the specs he set for himself, which for the record were a lot more lax in the first year or two of TwoKinds. I guess what I’m trying to say is “The majority of the ‘Audience’ doesn’t view sex as a bad thing, and Tom doesn’t do it to appease people that are younger, but because he made, on his own moral grounds, as he grew and drew from age 13, a personal choice not to do so.”

MoppyPuppy

Therie Sah-Van made out like a bandit, just sayin'.

Llethander

Hnnnnggg!! That is all.

Llethander

Ehhh... that's not entirely true. He's drawn adult-oriented pieces involving 2Kinds characters before but they weren't meant for the masses. As I recall they were intended either to be private or for friends of his, though I can't quite recall exactly as I haven't cared overmuch. If someone wants to draw adult artwork that's fine, if they don't that's also fine. Tom's published works - regardless of what has been leaked in the past - have always been PG by his own decision. That decision likely has little to do with what he believes his viewers do or don't think about sex. From what I've seen he doesn't want to be known for drawing porn.

JsTheWolf

oooooh Kathrin is in for a treat!

JsTheWolf

this one really needs to be colored ^^

Blake

Oof~

JsTheWolf

What are the names of the 2 tigers?

RobertC

Who was it that the dragon "transformed" in a woman?

DarthKeidran

Aerith is supposedly the name of the one on the left, but Tom hasn’t tagged her yet. Iris is the one on the right, who Flora Lovers everywhere are already acquainted with.

DarthKeidran

Oh, Clovis. That would be the evil former employer of Natani and Zen.

Patrick Jackson

Don't listen to them Kat, your meekness makes you cuter.
