The one moment in the comic when flora was more clothed than she probably will ever be again. x’D³ Also, is it just me, or does it look like Ephemural has “enhanced” her figure in this one.

In essence. Trace has been The Mask Chaos’ pawn for the past who knows how long, and Ephemural (Neutral) has apparently been setting up Flora to be a sort of Messiah for the Keidran races. As such, the two trying to support each other didn’t mesh with Ephemural’s plans. We don’t talk about Order yet because… well… we haven’t seen Order in the comic yet.

re read chapter 6 if you want details but she heard Trace say to an illusion of Saria that Flora was nothing to him and in Flora's despair she accepted Ephemural’s "help" Ephemural at the time disguised as a templar that was helping keidran slaves escape

The masks are the weakest part of the comic imo. The fact that none of the characters seem to be aware of them doesnt give them much credibility.

Cool! This scene was so long ago, both in reality and in the comic. I do wonder what will ever come of the game between the masks and the mortals involved.

Well, they are integral to the story, they are how Flora's pregnant, and a few other characters do acknowledge their existence. It's just that right now, they're not the main focus of the story, and they haven't been for some time, but it is implied there's a bigger scheme going on in the background, a reason for allowing Keidrans to be impregnated by other species.

I just re read ch 6 and I just realized we only see the resistance in this chapter is they a reason for that like is it dead or are we not talking about them yet ?

I bought the print volumes about a month ago, to introduce Two Kinds to my (new-ish) girlfriend, and also just because I wanted to re-read through the story again. We just recently read this part; oh the memories!! 😄

Exactly what I was thinking, as I re-read through these early chapters. With everything that's been going on in the story lately, it's easy to forget that there's this much bigger plot going on underneath everything…

My personal theory, exposure to Neutral is what allowed Flora to become pregnant with Trace's child.

Pretty good, I don't have any of the DLCs for it, but they have made some big changes recently, such as no more tile system for buildings

Well I was making a reference there, but it most likely is similar in that they do not wish to be well known, in that if they operated openly the Templar would bring down it's full might on them. They most likely on do operations such as smuggling out slaves and stuff like that where it is hard to detect, and therefore not much public talk
